Clive

Coromandine · 26/07/2020 21:47

I think a name like David that's a saint's name and has stood the test of time will come back round again.

Itscoldouthere · 26/07/2020 21:48

Hopefully most of my family names won’t be coming back anytime soon....
Sheila
Susan
Joan
Alan
Keith
Ian
Colin
Bob (unless you are a dog)
Kenny
Philip
Maureen

🤣🤣🤣

NoParticularPattern · 26/07/2020 21:48

I have an Ian! Singlehandedly bringing it back 😂

Yes I don’t think Karen will ever recover. I’m not sure I can see Brenda coming back either. Barry? I mean it’s a perfectly acceptable name for a used car salesman, but just feels weird on a newborn 😂

missyB1 · 26/07/2020 21:49

Names I wish would make a come back
Veronica
Belinda
Kerry
Geraldine

MovingtoCardiff · 26/07/2020 21:50

I don't think Susan will return. Or Eileen.

I actually love the names Carol and Linda!

MissBPotter · 26/07/2020 21:50

Rita
Mavis
Agree on Karen
Linda
Doreen
Yvonne
Yvette
Gaynor
Babette
Gladys

Gary
Darren
Lee
Darryl

I actually think a few of the names mentioned on here, especially by op, aren’t too dreadful and are still being used.

Itsallthedramamick · 26/07/2020 21:52

Keith and Barry I hope!

Northernsoullover · 26/07/2020 21:53

Fanny. I don't think that'll be back anytime soon.

Myownname · 26/07/2020 21:53

What do people think of the name Elliott? Has that come back?

Phoebesgift · 26/07/2020 21:54

I considered Claire/Clare for my younger daughter. She's nearly 12. I actually think it's a pretty, classy name.

udnertheradar · 26/07/2020 21:55

Gertrude

FeedMeSantiago · 26/07/2020 21:57

I know a primary school aged Reginald, he goes by Reggie but has the full name on his BC.

I also suspect Karen won't make a comeback due to the meme.

You might get some little Enids (pronounced correctly, of course) in Wales given it's a Welsh name.

I have to confess I quite like Kathleen.

BikeRunSki · 26/07/2020 21:58

Fanny.

I think we all know why that is.

FedUpAtHomeTroels · 26/07/2020 22:00

I disagree with all of them. Chances are your Great granchildren will have many of those names in school with them. When I was having kids, in 80's and 90's I'd have written names like many of the names used today as never going to be used again.

InvisibleToEveryone · 26/07/2020 22:00

I know a newborn Elliot.

And yesterday I heard someone yell at a toddler Keef, so I suppose that could be Keith?

diddl · 26/07/2020 22:00

Did Louise ever go away?

I know Louises of all ages.

LightDrizzle · 26/07/2020 22:01

Donna
