Are any of these names chavvy?

Sorry for the goady title, I'll probably get flamed for using the term 'chavvy' but I just need to know if I'm setting my future child up for a lot of judgement. People do judge others for their names after all. So we have:

Summer
Lydia
Elise
Autumn
Aurelia

No, I don't think any of them are chavvy but I think Lydia and Aurelia, being classical names, are classier than the others.

DonkeyHotty · 16/11/2019 14:05

Summer is borderline however the others are fine. IMO.

Worrier167 · 16/11/2019 14:06

I don't think any of those names are chavvy.

DonkeyHotty · 16/11/2019 14:07

And I think Lydia and Elise are the classiest.
I can’t read Aurelia without seeing Areaola!

Angie6868 · 16/11/2019 14:07

Summer and Autumn a bit chavvy

TheReluctantCountess · 16/11/2019 14:07

Lydia and Elise are nice.

DonkeyHotty · 16/11/2019 14:07

*areola

DramaAlpaca · 16/11/2019 14:08

I bloody hate that word. You could've just asked for opinions & on here you'll get honest ones.

As for the names, Summer & Autumn aren't my style but there's nothing wrong with them. I like the other three very much, especially Lydia.

BlobbyTheLump · 16/11/2019 14:09

Summer and Autumn are borderline.
I adore Lydia though.

nurseymummyx · 16/11/2019 14:09

I think they are all beautiful! Good taste, I'd be stealing them but I'm having a boy Grin

Spied · 16/11/2019 14:11

Aurelia and Elise are chavvy. At least in my locale.
Summer is borderline.
Lydia is not. It's OK.
Autumn is OK at the moment but think it's likely to become popular ( and henceforth be dated)

pooopypants · 16/11/2019 14:13

Summer and autumn are

Lydia makes me think of a middle aged woman

Aurelia also makes me think / picture areola

BeThere · 16/11/2019 14:15

I don't think any are chavvy but i think you're setting them up for judgement possibly anyway with Summer or Autumn

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 16/11/2019 14:16

I always say even the poshest name can sound chavvy if it’s screeched around the supermarket loud enough.

lotsofstripes · 16/11/2019 14:23

I live in an area which I suppose many people would call ‘chavvy’ and ‘common’ and there’s lots of kids called things like this. Aurelia-Grace, Elise-Harper etc things like that. I think they’re all very nice names but I’m not one to really care about being ‘chavvy’ !

pollyputthepastaon · 16/11/2019 14:24

I would say Summer and Autumn are a bit.

areyouafraidofthedark · 16/11/2019 14:24

Summer and Autumn are. The rest are lovely.

neonglow · 16/11/2019 14:28

I just think it’s a bit sad when people say ‘I love this name but now it’s starting to become chavvy so I’m not sure’ which basically means ‘this name I find beautiful is starting to be used by poorer/lower class people therefore I don’t really want to use it now’ :/

bearfood · 16/11/2019 14:30

I named my daughter Autumn 21 years ago and it was really not heard of then. I'm sad it's now 'borderline chavvy' tbh

sue51 · 16/11/2019 14:30

I'm not keen on Summer or Autumn, I don't know if they're chavvy. Aurelia is beautiful.

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 16/11/2019 14:30

None are (what is perceived to be) chavvyy Hmm

Elise (Für Elise) and Lydia are my favourites.

Isn't there a royal 'Autumn'?

When is the baby due? I think it would be a bit odd to call a baby born in winter, Summer or Autumn. But the names themselves are quite nice.

Ohyesiam · 16/11/2019 14:30

To me Summer ( But not Autumn for some reason) is a bit that way. It’s a shame because in abstract it should make a beautiful name.

snoopsnoops · 16/11/2019 14:35

Hmm, bit of a mix! Ok, so if I ruled out Summer and Autumn, what combination would you all go for?

E.g. Lydia (first name) Elise (middle name) etc.

PrincessHoneysuckle · 16/11/2019 14:36

Well if ds hadn't been a boy we were going to have Summer Rose so I'm biased :) lovely name

IvyWinters · 16/11/2019 14:38

There’s a YouTuber called Lydia Elise OP! Makes me wonder if it’s a known combination?

Sounds lovely though!
