I’d hazard a guess at Emmy, but would wonder if it was of German origin and therefore Emma.

It’s a made up and oddly spelt nickname (in English) so I don’t think there’s a definite right or wrong. Could be Em or Emmy.

I’ve just read your OP again and realised it’s a nickname rather than a name. In which case I would assume Em. But would think it an odd way of spelling a nickname- if it’s short for Emma, Emily, Emmaline or whatever, surely you’d just spell it Em, as it sounds?
