What do people think of baby name Alice

So I'm 18 weeks pregnant and thinking of names. I have 4 girls and a boy already and I suspect this baby is a girl as i sent my scan off to the 'nubologists' and they predicted girl but I know it's just a bit of fun and not accurate aha
So I've thought of the name Alice for a girl. I like it but what do others think? The one thing I have thought about is what if ppl automatically think of that awful song 'who the f**k is Alice'
That song spoils a beautiful name
Anyone else have any pretty girls names

It's a very classic name. It will take her anywhere and will never embarrass her.

(I don't personally like it though as all the Alices I know are a bit wet)

MyDcAreMarvel · 10/04/2019 21:30

I did automatically think of the song before opening the thread. I only mention it as you did yourself, sorry.
Other than that it’s a lovely name.

PandaCat · 10/04/2019 21:33

I'm biased but I think it's lovely.

A few mentioned that song to me while I was pregnant but honestly, I didn't even know it was a thing and nobody has never mentioned it to us randomly. It's really not an issue if you really like the name.

BathshebaKnickerStickers · 10/04/2019 21:33

Our Poppy was almost an Alice

One of my most fantastic work colleagues is a beautiful Alice.

I may call our future dog Alice (which proves how lovely it is and not that it’s a dog’sname)

sue51 · 10/04/2019 21:35

It's a lovely name.

fairybeagle · 10/04/2019 21:36

Its a lovely name and I don't think about the song at all.

missmouse101 · 10/04/2019 21:38

Wet and boring!

ItsaPeppaPink · 10/04/2019 21:40

I love it, if I had another dd this would be her name!

thedevilinablackdress · 10/04/2019 21:40

I love it.
And as an old Goth it makes me think of the Sisters of Mercy song of the same name.

MacavityTheDentistsCat · 10/04/2019 21:40

Lovely name (it's DD's middle name Smile and would have been her first name were it not for a family complication).

katseyes7 · 10/04/2019 21:44

l hate it, but that's because l had an Aunt Alice who l didn't like.

And l just look at it and think A- LICE....

SuddenlyISee · 10/04/2019 21:46

I love it and would have used it for DD but I have a much younger half sister called Alice already.

Longdistance · 10/04/2019 21:47

I have an Alice. We named her when I was pg with her as I heard the name in a film and fell in love with.

AgentCooper · 10/04/2019 21:48

I love it. It’s my mum’s name!

SallyWD · 10/04/2019 21:48

Lovely name

Sculpin · 10/04/2019 21:49

I like Alice. Pretty and not too popular.

Pocket0219 · 10/04/2019 21:50

Love it. It was our girl name but we had a boy 9 weeks ago.

OhTheRoses · 10/04/2019 21:51

Classic. Pretty. Straightforward. Elegant. Beautiful.

My grandma was blonde, blue eyed, independent, dependable, loving kind and very courageous. As is my dd.

Very special and marvellous name, for very special and marvellous women.

shaggedthruahedgebackwards · 10/04/2019 21:51

I'm also biased but it's my favourite girls name ❤️

becca3210 · 10/04/2019 21:51

Lovely name!

LoveLuna · 10/04/2019 21:52

I have an Alice, she's definitely not wet! I love the name, however, she doesn't and is now known by her middle name.

ReginaGeorgeous · 10/04/2019 21:53

I like it.

Raspberry88 · 10/04/2019 21:55

It's a beautiful name. I love it. DHs old best friend from Uni is called Alice and she is incredible. One of those amazing people.

JumpingFrogs · 10/04/2019 22:43

I have a lovely, clever, kind, sporty, teenage Alice. She likes her name. I know the song, but no one has EVER mentioned it to me or to her!

Starryskiesinthesky · 10/04/2019 23:17

Like it but quite popular where I am. Although probably slightly older girls.
