Predictions for Harry and Meghan's baby name?

As this little one will be far down the pecking order, they will have the freedom to go a bit more off piste. Like Andrew did with Beatrice and Eugenie - royal names, but not a George, Edward or Elizabeth.

Diana has to be in there somewhere if it's a girl. Think we can safely assume Thomas out of the running for a boy...

I predict:

Girl: Grace Diana or Helena Diana
Boy: Christian or Matthew

(will probably be totally wrong and they'll name it Aquamarine Byzantium or Hercules Antarctica).

Simon for a boy.

Amanda for a girl.

PrincessTwilightStoleMyToddler · 03/11/2018 23:21

I think there will be something from Meghan’s side in there too - maybe not Doria (although could be - it’s nice but wouldn’t work if they wanted Diana in there somewhere) but perhaps another family name (not Thomas or Samantha).

Trevor or Cindy. I think I’ll win.

EcruTable · 04/11/2018 06:05

Trevor was her ex husband’s name.

OliviaStabler · 04/11/2018 06:09

If it is a girl, I think they'll give her Diana as a second name.

mathanxiety · 04/11/2018 08:08

For a girl, I think they will give names like Savannah, Isla, Mia or Lena - trendy, or American style, and not necessarily RF names. Middle names may be a bit more traditional/RF.

Sierra
Isobel
Rose
Sydney
Alexandra
Victoria
Sophia
Doria
Diana
Frances

For a boy, something more traditional.
Frederick hasn't been used yet.

Victoria Frances Rachel foir a girl, for a boy Arthur Charles William.

BertramKibbler · 04/11/2018 08:23

As I understand it the children will not be Prince/Princess until the Queen dies at which point they can choose to use the title? I feel like this will have an impact

areyoubeingserviced · 04/11/2018 08:23

Grace Frances- girl
Albert Charles- boy

AuntieStella · 04/11/2018 08:27

There quite a few people called Xenia if you look down the line of succession....

I was wondering about Gloria (nice way to honour HMQ). Possibly Francesca. Or as PP mentioned, Cindy (as nn for Lucinda)

Rachel and Diana as middle names.

Boys, posisibly Rupert (a kind of Army joke), Alexander, Benedict (maybe not Frederick, as there's already a Lord Frederick Windsor, but his side of the family seems to repeat cousin names quite a lot), or Albert (as he won't be Prince unless something horrible wipes out all the Cambridges)

Yogagirl123 · 04/11/2018 08:29

Diana Elizabeth Victoria Margaret

Albert Charles Philip Henry

GoodJanet · 04/11/2018 08:48

Balonz has to be in the running for a boy, surely? After all, the royal baby to be was conceived in Surrey...

Someone suggested combining the grandmothers' names into Doriana which i quite liked

userabcname · 04/11/2018 09:22

I reckon they might go less traditional. Maybe something like Ella or Nora for a girl and Zachary or Levi for a boy. Or a total wildcard like Delilah or Malachi!
