Predictions for Harry and Meghan's baby name?

As this little one will be far down the pecking order, they will have the freedom to go a bit more off piste. Like Andrew did with Beatrice and Eugenie - royal names, but not a George, Edward or Elizabeth.

Diana has to be in there somewhere if it's a girl. Think we can safely assume Thomas out of the running for a boy...

I predict:

Girl: Grace Diana or Helena Diana
Boy: Christian or Matthew

(will probably be totally wrong and they'll name it Aquamarine Byzantium or Hercules Antarctica).

Rachel and Harriet feature for a girl.
Spencer and Hodgey feature for a boy. Perhaps Harold (Hodgey being how some of the younger ones pronounce Harry?)

Hmm Meghans favourite flowers are Peonies so I go out on a limb and say (girl)

Peony

or something else flower related like Fleur, Rose, Primrose, Iris, Ivy etc.

So far shes done a lot of connect-the-dots type things. So flowers from commonwealth for her veil, blue fabric from her first date in the dress. So I think any name will have some connective value or meaning behind it.

She's a feminist so again (girl) Possibly something strong like Gaia, Ada, Ava, Ida Betty, Frida, Harriet (This would be a great fit derivative of Henry/harry and also after Harriet Tubman two birds with one stone) Xenia, Elizabeth (possibly)

She's said to be doing gender neutral parenting so a name that crosses sex or similar to another sex Charlie, Toni, Frances, Alexis, Edwina, Georgina, Roberta

Boys I think something more relaxed like Leo, Lionel, cleo, or trendy hipster Rupert, sebastian, Christopher, maximus

On the whole I think its going to have some purpose or meaning to her own life or ideals

I have always thought it would be Dorothy for a girl. But other female names from a feminist / family pov I can also imagine Eleanor, Rose, Elizabeth nn Betty / Betsy, Maya, Alice or Anna. Possibly Theodora. I would like to say Alex for either sex but Alex Sussex does not go. Similarly Francis / Frances but again a bit wrong with Sussex if used that way. Boys, not as sure. Edward / Ted, Theodore/Theo, Michael, Frederick, Jasper.

Actually - I've just twigged. Victoria may be possible!

Frederick hasn't been used yet.

I'm hoping they don't call him Frederick or 'Freddie' as I'm due the same time as her and we're calling him Freddie... don't wanna be one of them accused of calling my son the same as the royals 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 (that's slightly light hearted, it's a lovely name and would be weird, but wonderful if we chose the same name)

I hope it’s a boy! I have two girls who’s names are always all over these threads. DD2 was born at the same time as Louis, and someone on here suggested all her three names in the right order. I felt like drawing an arrow saying ‘Not this one Catherine!’ Grin

I’m liking Harriet Frances Elizabeth
or Alexander David Charles.
