Funky middle name for Mary

Hello!

Mary as first name- it's traditional, iconic feminine name, a little austere and old fashioned maybe, so we'd like a really interesting (funky!) middle name to go with it - (also lots of names after Mary sound like a two parter- IE Mary Beth, Mary Kate) nothing biblical we already have that covered

So far we only have three
Mary Alba
Mary Summer
Mary Freya

I also like
Mary Rose
The fact it's a ship makes me smile

Surname is long but very pretty/ girly so we can take something unusual in the middle but shorter is better.

Any more suggestions??

When is baby due op?

I like the idea of either the season or the month as the middle name.

Mary Autumn
Mary Winter
Mary Spring
Mary December
Mary January

Or is there a combination name you can make up with yours and dh's names?

I went to school with a Jolynne, dad Joe and mum Lynne. Even a combination of letters?

My nan is Mary :)

Redteapot - I don't think anyone has said anything about Mary Rose being after the actual ship.

There are lots of names associated with tragedy, throughout history, if you ruled them all out, there'd be very few names left!

CheeseTheDay · 05/09/2018 21:05

Oh and I've just realised, I forgot to say in my first post in this thread, that in my family tree there's a Mary Pomeline, which I think is rather funky. Pomeline is French, and is related to the word apple.

MeyMary · 05/09/2018 21:09

I wouldn't pick Pomeline (even though it is quite pretty) but I actually really like Mary Pomona.
