I don't think I've ever seen Nicola mentioned. There were lots in my generation. Maybe it will be back in 5-10 years when we start to become grannies.

I know a couple of little ones called Anna and Sarah.

I know a Nicola who is 14 but it did surprise me when i heard her name.

I haven't heard of a baby Carl, Craig, Julie or Joanne yet.

horatioisabrick · 04/01/2018 17:19

Ah, I thought you meant popular names (IRL) that just don't seem to be popular on mumsnet...

Kevin, Marvin, Dwayne, Sharon etc...?

(although, future generatons might come to see tham as "vintage" and unusual)

horatioisabrick · 04/01/2018 17:20

I've never met a baby Michelle, Barbara or Monica, btw.

ZaZathecat · 04/01/2018 17:20

Oh yes Julies were in great abundance in my school year.

I know a baby Claire, born last year! Was a bit surprised when I heard it (I know plenty of Claire's my own age (30s) but no other younger ones.

NisekoWhistler · 04/01/2018 17:21

Don't hear of anyone being called Diane these days

Bobbybobbins · 04/01/2018 17:22

Christine?

Caulk · 04/01/2018 17:23

There are 100s of Anna’s here.

ZaZathecat · 04/01/2018 17:23

Yes I'm sure they will Horatio. It'll be interesting to see when it starts. Maybe it's more the great grandparents whose names get passed down?

OP posts:
ZaZathecat · 04/01/2018 17:25

Oh yes, Diane and Christine must be due a revival soon! Quite like Chrissie.
