Just that really, seems a bit of a mixed bag online between emme-line and emme-leen.

Emme-line to rhyme with wine.

KittyVonCatsington · 25/10/2017 07:19

My cousin has this name. It's pronounced Emm-ah-leen not Emm-ee-leen

OldWitch00 · 25/10/2017 07:19

emma line

KittyVonCatsington · 25/10/2017 07:19

Same pronunciation as Emmeline Pankhurst, basically. (Love this name and great woman!)

GinIsIn · 25/10/2017 07:20

Em-ell-line. Like Caroline, Ottoline etc.

Polly99 · 25/10/2017 07:20

-leen

Bananamanfan · 25/10/2017 07:20

I would say Emma-leen, emma-line wouldn't have occured to me.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 25/10/2017 07:20

RapunzelsRealMom · 25/10/2017 07:54

Emma-leen, like the song - “gonna write your name high on that silver screen.

IWouldLikeToKnow · 25/10/2017 07:55

Emm eh leen

flowery · 25/10/2017 07:56

-leen

Have never heard it to rhyme with Caroline.

RoganJosh · 25/10/2017 07:56

I’d think emma-leen.

Maybe Emma line if Irish.

BowlingShoes · 25/10/2017 07:58

Emma-leen, like Emmaline Pankhurst.

I think it is pronounced Emma-lyne in America (my knowledge of this is based solely on the fact that there was a character called Emmaline in the 1980s Anne of Green Gables miniseries though!)

ChocolateCrunch · 25/10/2017 08:10

Emma-leen, I'd say

verystressedmum · 25/10/2017 08:15

I’d say Emma-leen

CabernetSauvignyoni · 25/10/2017 08:17

The only Emmelines I know (from school and history) pronounced it -leen at the end.
