I'm fully aware of what op means

Jadon doesn't look very nice, like a misspelling. I'd pronounce it Jad On which doesn't sound nice either.

Noah is a perfectly nice name.

Lottey90 · 21/09/2017 11:40

No you didn't. Further down your post you asked why people didn't like jadon. And we answered you. Hmm

Also just because a name is religious doesn't mean it's automatically a good name. Yes jaydan is Hebrew but most people will attach it to negative things to it.
And I'm saying this as someone who's children will all have Muslim names so I'm not being mean about religious names.

Sometimes you just have to suck it up.

Alfieee · 21/09/2017 11:40

@Badders08 please say where I specified you were uneducated?

OP posts:
Badders08 · 21/09/2017 11:41

Ah
I see
In my post I called you he by mistake
Perhaps you should practise your religious teachings and forgive me?
😂😂😂😂

Lottey90 · 21/09/2017 11:42

**I appreciate everyone has an opinion, but really, what is so 'dreadful' about Jadon? I've never seen any other biblical name described in such a way.

See

Alfieee · 21/09/2017 11:42

@Lottey90 where? I said what's so dreadful about it, in a rhetorical way...

I'm not saying a religious name means it's a good name. I think lots of names in the bible wouldn't be a good choice.

OP posts:
Badders08 · 21/09/2017 11:42

Well...its better than herod...

Alfieee · 21/09/2017 11:43

@Badders08 HmmHmmHmmHmm that's hilarious HmmHmmHmmHmm

OP posts:
Badders08 · 21/09/2017 11:44

You don't think it's better than herod? Or Pilate? Or Judas?
I do.

Lottey90 · 21/09/2017 11:44

You asked what's so dreadful about it. We told you.

Alfieee · 21/09/2017 11:44

I'm talking about your previous post practically joking about my religion.

OP posts:
Lottey90 · 21/09/2017 11:45

I actually love the name judas......wouldn't use it though but I think it sounds and looks lovely. Blush

Alfieee · 21/09/2017 11:45

"Perhaps you should practise your religious teachings and forgive me?" Hmm

It's called freedom of speech op. It's great 😁
Call your kid what you like
But please don't expect everyone to
a) like it
b) know how to pronounce it

Badders08 · 21/09/2017 11:48

Lottey..i like loads of biblical names
I have one! 😁
Ds1 has one
As does dh
I'm rather fond of Balthazar

Alfieee · 21/09/2017 11:48

Freedom of speech isn't great. Racist remarks aren't 'great', joking about religion isn't 'great', the list is endless.

OP posts:
Alfieee · 21/09/2017 11:49

Balthazar is just pretentious

OP posts:
Badders08 · 21/09/2017 11:51

Discriminatory speech isn't great.
But fortunately religious belief is not compulsory yet
You can think me a dreadful heathen
And that's fine
And I can think you are deluded in believing in a higher power.
And that's fine too.

ChuffMuffin · 21/09/2017 11:51

Jadon.. personally not a fan I'm afraid. What about Judah instead? I love that name, it's biblical, and it means praised.

Badders08 · 21/09/2017 11:51

Oh dear
You wouldn't like what my cousin called her ds then!.....

Lottey90 · 21/09/2017 11:52

Me too! My sons name is very religious. Muslims automatically think he's Muslim, Christian's automatically think he's Christian. And I love that.

My next babies name is slightly more out there .... lots won't like it. But I honestly don't care. Certainly won't be posting on here asking if people think I should use it, then getting my knickers in a twist when people say they don't like it.

Badders08 · 21/09/2017 11:52

Judah makes me think of the film Ben hur...

saritah · 21/09/2017 11:53

Balthazar is just pretentious

Er, who asked for your opinion, OP?!
