Does nobody like the name Cora?

Every time I mention it to people IRL as one of my favourite names they pull an 'errrr' face haha. Have also noticed online it doesn't get the best reception.

I just think it's cute and compact!

If you dislike it are there negative connotations I wasn't aware of or is it the sound of it that grates on you?

I do. But I also quite like Nora.
I know a Coral, she's lovely.

I love it too.

It is simple, classic and it is widely known about but not widely used.

It's a cousin's middle name and she hates it. She is in her 50's now and that hate has never subsided.

It makes her think of the remains of a chewed up apple.

I love it. Also love Rosa which I think is kind of similar.

I think it's a lovely name.

I know two beautiful Coras so I have positive associations.

Reminds me of Eastenders

I really like it. I know one and everyone was very enthusiastic when her name was announced. Think she'd be about 2 or 3 by now.

I think it's quite nice. It does make me think of EastEnders though. If you like it then go for it.

I'll keep in mind Eastenders and a chewed up apple (which made me Lol) always interested in what different people connect to different names.

It was my no 1 choice girls name. We went on to have DS however

I also dislike Nora and Dora, so it must be that combination of letters and sounds. To me they are all ugly old fashioned names.
