I think it's nice. Lenny is a great NN, bored of Leo's now! (Even though was on my list for DS1)

Yika · 27/03/2017 19:45

I love it.

Oly5 · 27/03/2017 19:46

Leonard is awful! Just call him Lenny, which is much nicer and there's no need for the awful old man name.

smilingsarahb · 27/03/2017 19:46

Love it

Oly5 · 27/03/2017 19:46

Sorry to be blunt but you did ask for opinions

gardenpeasftw · 27/03/2017 19:47

Oly5 wtf? Our little babies do actually grow old... Not sure if you're aware...

My son's (second) middle name is Leonard after my husband's grandad. I would never have used it as a first name though, it's far too old fashioned for my liking. I don't really like Lenny either.

OCSockOrphanage · 27/03/2017 20:15

My grandad was Len (no, it wasn't his name (Edwin)) but told he looked like a famous comedian of his day so he became Len to one and all for the rest of his life, even to Grandma. The other was an ancient farmer. That said, I'm ancient too, now, so it may be goes around, comes around.

ILoveMonkeys · 27/03/2017 20:18

Big Bang Theory is all that comes to mind . I have a slight crush on Leonard

crapfatbanana · 27/03/2017 20:22

Lovely. I like Leonard, Leonardo, Lenny, Len, Leo, Leon...

grufallosfriend · 27/03/2017 20:24

I like Leonard! Not so keen on Lenny though... I prefer Leo.

Rockaby · 27/03/2017 20:25

I know a lovely little Leonard nn Lenny which has coloured my view of the name for the better! Before that, I always thought of Lynnard Skynnard when I heard it.

gardenpeasftw · 27/03/2017 20:26

But I wouldn't use Leo as it isn't naturally made with the name. I know you could but Len or Lenny makes more sense.

Leonard from the big bang doesn't like his name, he says it's got Nerd in it

WormwoodScrubbed · 27/03/2017 20:28

My eldest son is Lennon which is a bit similar I guess

passingthrough1 · 27/03/2017 20:28

I think of Leonard Cohen (who was wonderful).
I like it and no I would not just use Lenny but I hate hate hate nicknames on BCs.

DoorKnee · 27/03/2017 20:29

Lenny Kravitz is what springs to mind for me - full named Leonard. You can't get much cooler than him!

Chinnygirl · 27/03/2017 20:32

Nice name.

grufallosfriend · 27/03/2017 20:42

Will you pronounce it Lenard or Leo-nard?

grufallosfriend · 27/03/2017 20:42

Like Leonardo without the o?

OliviaStabler · 27/03/2017 20:43

I think Nimoy. I like it.

gardenpeasftw · 27/03/2017 20:48

I have never heard anyone pronounce it Leo-nard?

OP posts:
TalkingofMichaelAngel0 · 27/03/2017 20:50

I like it. I knew three lennys atm! One a girl and two boys.

grufallosfriend · 27/03/2017 21:00

I know a Leonard who pronounces his name Leo-nard.

Isn't there a name called Lennard that is pronounced Len-ard?

TheLegendOfBeans · 27/03/2017 21:02

I like it but I also associate it with a camp aggressive cat my friend had; it'd also bite you on the shins when you weren't looking.
