Monty is great! If I ever have a boy I will have to add it to the short list.

I quite like Bartholomew nn Tolly. That and Rufus were my favourites if DC2 had been a boy, DH well and truly vetoed them though Sad.

poppy - it's a nickname for Victoria. I have only heard it used by posh people.

I like Sebastian and Allegra. My Scottish accent just doesn't work with either though!

Rupert

Araminta

Ds2's middle name is Rupert. Middle names are a false hope. We never use it, I love it.

I love Persephone and Seraphina - would nn both Seffy.

Neither would work with our rough and manly surname! Plus would never be able to convince DH.

I might have to have another just so I can actually use Rupert. So lovely.

Sholto - not that I would use it but it is fabulously posh

Beatrice. Although really what I like about it is the Spanish way of pronouncing it ('Bay-a-treece'), so that doesn't work in the UK.

Also Hermione. Loved it for years, way before Harry 'bloody' Potter.

Cressida nn 'Cressy'

dd is Luciana

My posh choice would be:

Brunhilda nn Hildy and Perceval nn Percy.

Report
Pasiphae · 22/11/2012 10:56

Or maybe Hortensia (Orty) and Rudyard (Rudy).
