I know someone whose daughter and son are called Paris and Troy. Really! Aside from being utter rubbish, I mean, if we are going with mythology Paris is a boy not a girl, and Troy is a place not a person! Its Paris and Hector surely? Or Troy and Mesopotamia?

So can you top that? Go on, I could do with a laugh.

Yes Jayden is the devils name on MN. Very common nowadays and I wouldn't call Will and Jada Smith Chavs.

I love the name Tatiana.

Ok.

Db went to an all boys grammar. Register called by surname - so eg. 'Allen, Banks, Chambers...'etc.

If there were two Smiths, say, or Patels or whatever, they were called out by their initials, eg. 'J Smith, T Smith'.

It is probably fair to say that Mr & Mrs Nurse did not anticipate this when they called their twin sons Andrew & Peter.

OK.... I know one half of a twin set called 'Popcorn'. Other twin name unknown (south london).

Recently I met a Jagger and a Dash. Brothers, not twins tho. Dash was a bit ....lumpen.

And dh heard of a Sherlock in the park. I shit you not.

AND I know an Obi.

wahhhhh!

EllenJaneisstillnotmyname · 20/11/2012 21:19

I went out with a lovely lad called Gaive, his brother was Heathcliff and his sister was Nada. Not sure if they fit the OP, but they were very unusual back then. I went to school with a Troy, I thought his mum was a Thomas Hardy fan, maybe. I went to school with some brothers from 'the big house' Julian, Lucien, Crispen and Simon. They moved on to a public school, though. They were just very different from the Daves, Paul's, Steves and, oh yes, Simons at school. Smile

Narrowboat · 20/11/2012 21:19

My favourite tho is Hogarth. met him in the park too.

EllenJaneisstillnotmyname · 20/11/2012 21:20

Where did that apostrophe come from? Hmm

PickledFanjoCat · 20/11/2012 21:21

Hyphenated! For the love of god! Grin

Crocs are only acceptable on children IMO.

I want Hunters but would wear them with wellie warmers. :o

EllenJaneisstillnotmyname · 20/11/2012 21:21

Hogarth? Iron man fan?

InNeedOfBrandy · 20/11/2012 21:22

Obi is quite a common name round my old area. I quite like Jagger and Dash.

I also like names that are not spelt "correctly" to.

PickledFanjoCat · 20/11/2012 21:22

My mother has crocs

She thinks she is the kiddie on her hols!

EllenJaneisstillnotmyname · 20/11/2012 21:22

My STBex dickhead was recently seen wearing Crocs. I couldn't stifle a slightly hysterical giggle!

PickledFanjoCat · 20/11/2012 21:24

They look all kinds of wrong on adults.

My mother especially! She is unrepentant. She says ooo they are comfy.

EllenJaneisstillnotmyname · 20/11/2012 21:25

Yep, agree with that, Fanjo.

Ginandtonicandamassageplease · 20/11/2012 21:25

Pickledfanjocat - there was a boy in my college at uni called Richard Head. Surely there can't be two!! He had to sign the register at the matriculation ceremony as he had the funniest name!

SweetMingePie · 20/11/2012 21:25

My ds2 has one of he most boring drab names in existence if you go off what MN think.

I couldn't give a hooping funt what people think tbh, it's a name I lied so used it.

Cannot understand spending hours searching through registries checking how many Victors/Ermintrudes/Pearls were born last year and how popular the name is.

And mrsdv I love your dcs names.

PickledFanjoCat · 20/11/2012 21:27

In his fifties this one.

Poor chap says im Richard head, I know I know don't call me dick!

It's like a Bart Simpson call to
Mo's bar!

PickledFanjoCat · 20/11/2012 21:27

Randy dash! That's a brilliant name.

Ginandtonicandamassageplease · 20/11/2012 21:30

There are two then! Maybe a father and son combo!

amarylisnightandday · 20/11/2012 21:37

B-jay ffs.

There was a judgey warning in the title!

Tia - Maria

CrapBag · 20/11/2012 21:37

"We told DS not long ago and his response was along the lines of "well thank F* you didn't call me that - were you both going through a total twat stage or what?"

This is hilarious!!!!! Grin

picnicbasketcase · 20/11/2012 21:38

Grin at P Nurse and A Nurse, the poor things
