Is this too "out there"? Have liked it since I heard of that actress James King.

Moominsarescary · 28/08/2012 12:27

Agree with the others too out there. Sorry

Moominsarescary · 28/08/2012 12:28

Is there anything else you like?

Sarahbananabump · 28/08/2012 12:28

Jaimes?

Yes putting an I in something can turn if feminate lol

chipsandbeans · 28/08/2012 12:30

I think its a bit mean actually, we had a boy in our class at school called Beverly and he was forever put in with the girls groups for things and spent a lot of his time fed up and embarrassed by it. I will never forget the look on his face when he was forced to explain to our new teachers year after year that yes it was his name but no he most definitely shouldn't be with the girls..

While respecting your right to call your child whatever you like you should also remember that they are stuck with it and any potential consequences on a day to day basis

ScrambledSmegs · 28/08/2012 12:30

The actress's name is Jaime King, pronounced Jamie I believe.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 28/08/2012 12:30

Well, when you were at child at school would you have liked to have been called 'James'?

onyx72 · 28/08/2012 12:30

What scrambled said.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 28/08/2012 12:31

I saw your other thread and I did wonder if you might like Ariadne. I think it's really pretty and it's in a similar line to the ones on your other thread but less 'frilly and made up' sounding. Also perhaps you'd like Jemima - I don't much, but just throwing it out there for you!

LynetteScavo · 28/08/2012 12:32

Everyone will presume she's a boy.

Zhaghzhagh · 28/08/2012 12:33

Are you on drugs OP?

akaemmafrost · 28/08/2012 12:33

I like it but she'll be given a hard time for having a "boys" name at school.

ScrambledSmegs · 28/08/2012 12:33

To be fair, she did use the name James in some of her early roles, I think it was a childhood nickname. But her given name is Jaime.

suedpantsoffem · 28/08/2012 12:35

There are so many lovely girls' names - why pick a boy name??? Smile

curiousgeorgie · 28/08/2012 12:36

James King is actually Jamie.. I think James is beautiful for a girl and would love to use it.

Corygal · 28/08/2012 12:37

It won't work. Said actress is a smackhead, incidentally.

SirBoobAlot · 28/08/2012 12:37

Don't be foolish.

We had a boy called Courtney at school with us, lovely lad, still friends with him now actually. But numerous times not only did the kids rip the piss out of him, but EVERY year he was put on the girls PE register.

GlitterPinkRubberDucky · 28/08/2012 12:38

Okay people calm down please! Lol it's just a suggestion I was THINKING about, good grief! No need to call nspcc yet!

Yes there are lots of other names I like and was just asking for one opinions (reminder tht honest opinions do not be necessarily equate to being rude).

To the poster who asked - yes I would have loved to be called James at school. I was a bit of a tomboy and think tomboy little girls are cute.

But maybe James is a bit lo much as an actual name thinking about dc going up to be an adult.
