From Wolf to Hamish and back again. There have been others inbetween.

We were set on Hamish. I am having doubts, will he become Ham/Hammy/Egg?

We like Wolf. Not sure it will suit a red head as the last 2 have been.

I like a bit crazy.

Not Wolf. Please. <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=wolf+gladiators&um=1&hl=en&sa=N&rlz=1T4PBEA_en-GBGB262GB264&tbm=isch&tbnid=AOvPBXkJTcH6JM:&imgrefurl=www.jumpedtheshark.co.uk/tv-shows-g/gladiators/&docid=PpPhprEogO_v8M&w=280&h=390&ei=XaCIToLDO8aO8gO8lfFe&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=163&vpy=136&dur=258&hovh=265&hovw=190&tx=98&ty=129&page=1&tbnh=110&tbnw=79&start=0&ndsp=24&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:0&biw=1280&bih=600" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">not Wolf

Northernlurker · 02/10/2011 18:34

For some reason I thought you were having a girl! Guess not.

What about Rufus for a redhead?

Wolf is dire. Remus?

ZZZenAgain · 02/10/2011 18:35

not for me those two names. Don't think you get from Hamish to Ham that easily but I knew an awful Hamish growing up so I am opposed to the name on those grounds. Hold on to them but look around for a few more and wait till you see your baby. Maybe you'll see which name fits when he is in front of you.

ShowOfHands · 02/10/2011 18:36

Back away from the mad woman. I have suggested every name under the sun. She rejects them all.

Hamish is fine fgs.

But I still LOVE Wolf.

Rafe's good. And dh approves.

But seriously, Hamish is good.

Northernlurker · 02/10/2011 18:38

Hal?

largeginandtonic · 02/10/2011 18:41

But does Hamish go with the others? I DO like it. I just really hate Ham.

NL the last one was a girl Grin

It is HARD.

I love Rufus. But we called the dog Rupert. Too similar.

SOH i like all your suggestions, i just wish dh had no say.

We also have a Hugo. Hugo and Hamish.

ZZZenAgain · 02/10/2011 18:41

do you want to say what the otherdc are called?

largeginandtonic · 02/10/2011 18:43

Wolf is good. If he came out all dark haired and broad shouldered like dh he could be Wolf.

Heathcliffe?

OP posts:
largeginandtonic · 02/10/2011 18:44

Hmmm too identifying i think. All fairly mad. Maybe SOH could say.

OP posts:
Northernlurker · 02/10/2011 18:45

No to Heathcliff - come on! You do not want people yelling 'Cathy' after him for evermore.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/10/2011 18:45

Wolf is dreadful. Remus is (obviously!) a good suggestion though.

Not over-fond of Hamish. Hector?

ZZZenAgain · 02/10/2011 18:45

ok, well they don't especially need to match, just wondering what your taste is. Wolf and Hamish quite different type of name to my mind.

largeginandtonic · 02/10/2011 18:46

He does need to be in front of us i think. All the others were named after they were born. Some 6 weeks later Blush

This is a shortlist. HA!

Northernlurker · 02/10/2011 18:46

Brynmor or Bryn? Means 'Hill'

largeginandtonic · 02/10/2011 18:47

Cathy! Arf. You could be right.

Remus is very good. Too HP though?

OP posts:
Meteorite · 02/10/2011 18:49

I like Hamish :)

Makinglists · 02/10/2011 18:49

I have a Hamish so am biased he's only little but the only nickname we use on him is Mish - Ham dosen't seem to work a nn. Don't know if that helps.

largeginandtonic · 02/10/2011 18:50

Bryn, no. Sounds a bit bradley.

Dh family is all welsh, mine mostly Scottish.

OP posts:
Northernlurker · 02/10/2011 18:51

Most people call the HP character Lupin so I think it's ok. Come to that - isn't Wolf too Gladiatoresque? (shows age)

largeginandtonic · 02/10/2011 18:51

You see i liked Mish. Dh said 'Nooooo, anything but Mish!'. Gah.

OP posts:
Northernlurker · 02/10/2011 18:51

Bryn is WELSH! Grin

largeginandtonic · 02/10/2011 18:52

Bet dh would like Remus. He loves all the Gladaitor and Greek mythology names.

DamselWithADulcimer · 02/10/2011 18:53

Oh, go for Hamish. It's a fab name. We had a brilliant dog called Hamish, and he was known as Mishmash. Don't tell your DH that one.

ShowOfHands · 02/10/2011 18:55

Want me to list the brood?

Misha is a fab name. As is Sacha.

Emrys?
