We were set on Hamish. I am having doubts, will he become Ham/Hammy/Egg?

We like Wolf. Not sure it will suit a red head as the last 2 have been.

I like a bit crazy.

Sounds like some of mine Shouty. The last 2 have been ginger so he could be ginger mop, shorts, wellies and a knitted tank Grin

And bloomers...

largeginandtonic · 03/10/2011 13:32

Gingham bloomers, sometimes cord.

I have sent you a text young lady.

Ok. So you have 2 J names, 2 S names and 2 B names. But only one H name. So you need another H. Problem solved.

(But not, obviously just 'H'. Unless you are a fan of the talented and popular music combo 'Steps')

ShowOfHands · 03/10/2011 13:35

I can see my phone from here. Tis about 4 feet away. But the boy is fast asleep on my lap and if I move this will no longer be true. Is it full of salacious gossip?

MarginallyNarkyPuffin · 03/10/2011 13:43

Wolf? Do you not like this child?

Maternelle · 03/10/2011 13:44

I loooooove Wolf. DS's second name is Bleiz, which means Wolf in my language.

largeginandtonic · 03/10/2011 13:51

Stay put then. No salacious gossip i'm afraid. Not worth the wake up of the boy.

Wolf IS cool name.

You are right on the H needed. It was unintentional though. I just happen to get stuck on favourite letters Grin

Ooh I know a Dougal. He's cool.

gapants · 03/10/2011 13:58

Halston

I know a Dougald, he is also very cool. Dougray?

ShowOfHands · 03/10/2011 14:07

Do NOT name your child after Holden bleeding Caulfield, whingey little scrote.

I've suggested all of the others apart from Kingston. The only other name in the world we haven't covered is Wayne...

gapants · 03/10/2011 14:16

SoH i like Holden, he was my first love.

largeginandtonic you might be running SoH patience now I fear! Or at least I am! Grin

Ok, my last shot at something original

Roe
Angus
Asa
Valentine

CaptainNancy · 03/10/2011 14:16

I am amazed you don't have a Hector already! Grin

Hector
Rufus
Duncan
Kester
Innes

Such a darn shame No 7 was a DD... Septimus is my favourite name ever

Milo and Arlo are nice too.
Murdo/Murdoch?

LadyWord · 03/10/2011 14:20

I like Hamish - know a Hamish and he doesn't get called Ham.

But I LOVE Wolf - I would love to use it. It's a normal name in Germany, it's not that out there really - and wolves are a great animal to emulate, lots of great qualities.

Wolfie is a cool nn too.

ShoutyHamster · 03/10/2011 14:23

Hector - another ace name. Also Haydn and Huw.

But not as good as HEATH Grin

DamselWithADulcimer · 03/10/2011 17:18

Hector and Haydn are on completely different planets. Hector is a splendid name. Haydn isn't.

largeginandtonic · 03/10/2011 18:21

Gapants I think i have had Valentine on a list before now. I can't have a Huw/gh as i have a Hugo. I have asked for Rudolph (nn Rudy) as he is due at Christmasish, dh said nope.We both like Angus but had a not very pleasant neighbour with a dog called Angus and it coloured our view Sad Valentine good, dh he say nope.

SOH is used to my bizzare name obsession. This is my 3rd pregnancy with her as right hand woman Grin

CaptainNancy Hector great name, dh not keen. We both like Rufus but the dog is called Rupert. Too similar. Septimus is fab, maybe no.17? Grin

LadyWorld Wolf is fantastic. It is well in the running but so is Heath and Dh is liking Remus ALOT.

Gapants what are the top names for you baby? < diverts attention >

MissHonkover · 03/10/2011 19:15

I know someone who has a daughter called Ylva, which is Wolf in Norwegian.

Love Rudy, and Kester too.

I rather like the nn Egg. Particularly suitable if he is bald. Grin

gapants · 03/10/2011 19:21

Girls...up thread, but Luna, Willow and Astrid as the forerunners
Boys-- Noah, Jude, Rafferty (rafe), Leo, Bruno, Cassius.

Husband has said no to some of the above, but I am ignoring him mostly about it, trying to win him round...

largeginandtonic · 03/10/2011 20:19

Brilliant names Gapants! Astrid is so pretty. Dh always like Willow, he liked Hazel too. The boy names are fab too, Rafferty and Cassius are so cool. Love Bruno too. Flippin eck, it is hard isn't it?!

TeacupTempest · 04/10/2011 13:26
