We were set on Hamish. I am having doubts, will he become Ham/Hammy/Egg?

We like Wolf. Not sure it will suit a red head as the last 2 have been.

I like a bit crazy.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/10/2011 19:50

Remus Asher is BRILLIANT!

DD2 would have been Rowan Asher, had she been blue.

gapants, please use Aphra. I wanted it for ds had he been a dd. I adore it. Strong, beautiful name. In fact he would have been Josephine Aphra Mirabel had he had different parts.

I really, really don't like Asher. I don't know why though. It's not my baby though.

I frigging well suggested Torin, Fergus, Hector, Remus etc. Remus and Hector I've suggested twice.

Fickle she is, fickle.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/10/2011 19:55

Love Isadora. Love Ishbel too, to throw another spanner in.

pinkthechaffinch · 02/10/2011 19:56

What about Fox if he turns out to be a red head. Foxes are similar to wolves, aren't they?

largeginandtonic · 02/10/2011 19:57

Yes please use Aphra. It is so lovely.

Showy i have all your names written down chickypoo, i listen to you above all others y' know. Now come and stay in half term so i can squidge that boy.

Remus....I like it, but is it not also a blood type? Sorry if that sounds nasty, that is the link I am making though.

Max?
Aldus?
Zefi?

largeginandtonic · 02/10/2011 19:59

Pink no to Fox. It was perfect for a while. Till the dog ran off witha dead, half charred fox and ATE some of it one day. The rest came home on my flip flops. They are in the bin. The dog narrowly escaped tbh.

Lathurn - gaelic for fox (La-urn)

largeginandtonic · 02/10/2011 20:01

ShowOfHands · 02/10/2011 20:05

Aphra is pronounced A-fra (would use Affie for short). Or Sephie as short for Josephine or Seraphina is pretty.

Ginny, is a ? over halfterm. DH has to work the weekdays but has the weekends either side free so could do a weekend visit although the boy despises the car. Let me know what's doing with you. And if you're even thinking of driving to Plym, I will come down there and sit on you. And not in a good way.

I also like

Ezekiel
Amos
Inigo
Ivo
Ptolemy

ShowOfHands · 02/10/2011 20:07

Sailor Joe will veto Faolan. Promise. I can hear him tutting now.

Northernlurker · 02/10/2011 20:16

Tsk I'm not warming to LGT's dh Grin

Ptomely rocks!

largeginandtonic · 02/10/2011 20:17

He is on a train to Bedfordshire as we speak. Gone for the week Sad I am doing the Plym drive. IF i can fit behind the wheel and IF the boy behaves and does not try to make a bid for freedom before then.

B used to hate the car too. God it was awful. We had a wedding and 60th birthday party two weekends on the trot in farcking Wales and Oxford. He screamed his head off for the entire journeys. It was so stressful Sad If he could have come out of his car seat and slept on his tummy it would ahve been fine.

He won't like Faolan will he. Dagnammit.

He quite liked Ptolemy NL Grin He also likes Titus and Iolus.

I asked for Inigo a few days ago when Princess Bride was on. He say no.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/10/2011 21:08

Ooh if you like The Princess Bride, how about Westley? Yum.

othersideofchannel · 02/10/2011 21:30

I like Hamish - why would you have to shorten it at all Confused?

ShoutyHamster · 03/10/2011 10:27

Heath. Call him Heath.

Heath Octavius Asher

Heath Faolan Octavius

Like Hamish but without the issues, and as strong as Wolf.

largeginandtonic · 03/10/2011 12:19

I like you Shouty. That does sound good.

I don't think anyone really intentionally shortens names it just sort of happens Othersideofthechannel. Good to think about these things before naming them or risk being irritated later.

So Heath and Remus are on the list.

OP posts:
ShoutyHamster · 03/10/2011 12:49

Yay!

I know a little 6 year old Heath. Sturdy, blond mop, wellies and little knitted tank tops. It's made me love the name :)
