Right, I need to get this sorted

40+1 with DC2. If a boy he will be Barnaby, so thats ok. We had decided on Susannah for a girl, to be known as Sukie. However, as soon as I told someone this I had doubts (and not because of their reaction). I am not sure that I don't think Susannah is a bit meh, though i love Sukie. DH won't agree (and I think he is right) to Sukie on bc. This is keeping me awake at night! Maybe there is another name Sukie can be nn for?

I also like:
Clementine
Josephine
Emmeline (DH not convinced though)
Adele

Any thoughts or other suggestions please? Thank you!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
hugeleyoutnumbered · 25/06/2011 21:38

love love love emmerline and josephine jo for short

shrinkingnora · 25/06/2011 21:53

Adeline?

BelleDameSansMerci · 25/06/2011 22:54

Gabrielle?

elseIlltellyourfather · 26/06/2011 10:26

You better keep running too Belle, I quite like that. Hmmmm....

Hate Gabby though, really dislike it so that rules it out really. Actually, Gabriel is nice for a boy too

Adeline is ok, much prefer Adele but DH vetoed it anyway. He also vetoed Emmeline, which I would have chosen.

No thoughts on Finley for a girl? Dh's favourite, I feel a new thread coming on. Maybe I need to get this sorted before labour will start, now 40+4. I also need to build that crib...

How about Fionnuala ? It's irish, and pronounced Finnoola; Finn for short. I'm in ireland and know one ( teenager) and think it's pretty cool.

GoblinMarket · 26/06/2011 20:37

Floella?

Sammie99 · 27/06/2011 12:44

Okay I may be cheating here but I absolutely love the name FIONA --(the pretty princess from Shrek!!!) :)
I couldn't go super fancy on my daughter's name though-- Serena..
But I also must say I love the ring to the sound Suzannah!! Very classy super cool..Why not Suzie instead of Sukie?

elseIlltellyourfather · 27/06/2011 13:23

Well, I think I have taken Susannah off my list now - I really only loved Sukie and have been convinced it is a bit, well, unnessesary...

The Finley thread is me if you're interested in contributing (shameless!)

I love Serena - its the name of my childminder and very beautiful (the name that is, though she is fine too)

Serena is a lovely name :)

BelleDameSansMerci · 27/06/2011 14:46

I used to know a girl called Sancia (pro. Sancha). I loved that...

elseIlltellyourfather · 27/06/2011 17:09

Sancia is lovely, not heard it before. Not re-opening the list now though, baby looks like it might be here in next day or two; got enough to worry about...!

Ah, well, perhaps the name will be obvious when you meet the baby? I hope so.

And, of course, I hope everything brilliantly and you have a lovely, easy time. x

UndiscoveredApprentice · 27/06/2011 21:05

Sammie99 · 28/06/2011 12:36

Tell the LO to hurry up, we're all waiting!!! Grin

SloganLogan · 28/06/2011 14:26

You can use the spelling Sanchia to avoid people using the wrong pronounciation :)

Careful with Lana, we met one once and OH was kind enough to point out it was rude backwards :-)

MissHonkover · 30/06/2011 12:17

Yes, I know an Annalee...

elseIlltellyourfather · 30/06/2011 15:13

Its all irrelevant anyway, I had a baby boy yesterday! Barnaby. Still, discussing girl's names passed the time, as EDD came and went

thanks anyway!
