40+1 with DC2. If a boy he will be Barnaby, so thats ok. We had decided on Susannah for a girl, to be known as Sukie. However, as soon as I told someone this I had doubts (and not because of their reaction). I am not sure that I don't think Susannah is a bit meh, though i love Sukie. DH won't agree (and I think he is right) to Sukie on bc. This is keeping me awake at night! Maybe there is another name Sukie can be nn for?

I also like:
Clementine
Josephine
Emmeline (DH not convinced though)
Adele

Any thoughts or other suggestions please? Thank you!

Godsuki Grin

love Sukie Smile what about Saskia?

was desperate for Clementine nn Cleo for DD3 but DH having non of it Angry

Josephne nn Posie or Josie or Finn is lovely too

elseIlltellyourfather · 23/06/2011 21:10

Finn for a girl? I quite like Finley for a girl actually. Reminds me of Home and Away from my yoof.

DS is Caspar by the way, if that helps in any way?

Yes, Finn for a little girl. I love Delphine and Seraphine and would use Finn for those. Or Rory for Aurora Grin

I don't tend to conform to stereotypes in terms of names Wink

Casper and Clementine
Caspar and Josephine
Caspar and Sukie
Caspar and Lana - no, not as nice

Caspar and Delphine
Caspar and Seraphine
Caspar and Cordelia
Caspar and Saskia - no, doesn't sound right which is a shame as it's a FAB name

Many lovely names all go Smile

emmspemms · 23/06/2011 21:29

How about something like Zuleika , I think it's a Cornish name , and Suki for short.

superjobeespecs · 23/06/2011 21:31

Sadie was our chosen girls name OH liked it sounded like mercedes (he's a total chav in disguise Blush) and we both liked it was a variant of a family name sadies awesome :) makes me smile to see it.

Oh I can't be doing with multiple children with names starting with the same letter.. It's very Walton esc. So no to anymore C names!

Caspar and Josephine sound brilliant together. Caspar and Susannah is gorgeous.

Caspar and Sadie gets a big YES.

elseIlltellyourfather · 24/06/2011 20:10

Right, I have done another list. I would really appreciate your votes or comments, then we can let this thread die Smile

For a girl:

Lana
Clementine
Susannah (Sukie)
Josephine
Emmeline
Finley

Thanks! Oh. Will have to run it by DH too, just remembered that.

Love Josephine and Clementine. For me Finley is a boy's name. Don't like Lana or Susannah, sorry.

I like Delphine from further up the thread.

Sylvie?

mrsjohnsimm · 24/06/2011 20:17

Josephine. Or Lana. Really, NOT Finley for a girl; you might as well call her Henry.

Grabaspoon · 24/06/2011 20:24

I know of 2 Clementines (Clemmies) in the local area, one has bright ginger hair and the other has a surname which means it sounds like Clementine Juice - ie Orange juice.

elseIlltellyourfather · 24/06/2011 20:35

Asda actually sell Clementine juice, tis a favourite if mine.

I quite like Finley for a girl, was suggested further up the thread. Unusual I thought. Not keen on Delphine or Sylvie ta.

Think I like Lana best. More thoughts please......

Catsu · 24/06/2011 20:40

Josephine definitely

PiaFedora · 24/06/2011 21:19

mrsjohnsimm - DD3 has a name more commonly associated with a boy and carries it off beautifully Smile

SloganLogan · 24/06/2011 21:30

Josephine - lovely :)
Clementine - like
Emmeline - very nice
Lana - nice, also like Lara
Susannah (Sukie) - Susannah is OK, don't like Sukie
Finley - don't like for a boy, definitely not for a girl

SloganLogan · 24/06/2011 21:31

But really, if you like Lana best, then choose it!

For goodness sake, really, don't make me decide on my own at 40+2. I simply don't have the means anymore.

I know, lets forget about names and use our collective energy to hope it is a boy, for whom we have The Name.

I also like Rohan, just remembered. And Freya has been considered in the past...

I have ds1 barnaby and ds2 Caspar. Love susannah and b was to be josephine, c was to be juniper. What do you think
Of that? Lana is not
My style at all!
good luck for the birth!

SloganLogan · 24/06/2011 21:57

Rohan is a camping and outdoor shop. Freya is faddy and odd-sounding.

Some of your first suggestions were the best :)
