Prefer Taio as in Tie - oh to Tayo to be honest, but personally, not that keen on either. What are your other names?

TotorosOcarina · 29/09/2010 15:28

[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3CgeJED9SU reminds me of this song so I definatly wouldn't!]

What are the obligatory letters to fit in with the tattoo? Tell us those and perhaps we can come up with some other ideas. Tayo sounds like a root vegetable.

Rockbird · 29/09/2010 15:35

Yep, crisps, sorry

meadowlarks · 29/09/2010 15:40

No.

gherkinwithapurplemerkin · 29/09/2010 15:42

Ha ha. This thread is ACE. Make up a name to fit a tatto. Sn-URK!

(you can't do this OP, really)

ShirleyKnot · 29/09/2010 15:42

How about Tattoo? That should fit in with the tattoo and also be a Tattoo. Tattoo.

MmeLindt · 29/09/2010 15:48

Um.

Well.

No, sorry. Cannot do it. Are you out of your mind? Your child is going to be lumbered with this name for the rest of his life. FFS, give him a name that you like and buy your DP a Scrabble game.

DollyTwat · 29/09/2010 15:48

give us a clue then OP
is it 10 across
blank A blank O

liking tattoo Shirley

going · 29/09/2010 15:50

I knew a Tayo but it was a girl. It's a name that never quite sounded right.

AbsofCroissant · 29/09/2010 15:50

Latoya?
Toyota?
Tony? (I'm assuming there's a space between t and y, so you may have to squeeze Tony in a bit)

5DollarShake · 29/09/2010 15:53

Oh come ON...!!! Grin

This has to be one of the most hilarious reasons for naming a child ever!! Grin

You cannot expect people not to have an opinion on it. Grin

We're not really judging. We're just laughing. Grin

Just consider it a taster for real life opinions when the reason gets out. A community service, if you will. :)

Flighttattendant · 29/09/2010 15:54

Sorry but LOLOLOLOL

I couldn't hold that in, I'm really sorry

It's brilliant! I am really pleased that you have loads of other names that will fit though, Tayo is really not good as you yourself seem to have decided already.

Shell, pLEASE tell us the other names...I bet you won't now but I would love to know how you are doing this.

I hope you can come up with something you like.

TotorosOcarina · 29/09/2010 15:54

it can work though, see!!

Grin
Flighttattendant · 29/09/2010 15:58

Okay if you have an A_O situation,

Jago would be good

Ramon

Don't do Cadon or anything like that, or anything else made up, because people will guess it was just to fit the tat

If it's T_Y you could conceivably go with Taylor (not my taste)
or Trystan

bit stumped on that one actually.

I am getting into this now.

ShadeofViolet · 29/09/2010 16:00

Would Taylor fit if you squash it up a bit?

sparkle12mar08 · 29/09/2010 16:01

Stupid name, and even more stupid reason!

Happy to help!

muggglewump · 29/09/2010 16:02

Erm, I can't even manage a remotely decent comment.

It's shockingly bad and if the responses on here bother you, just imagine that could be real life soon.

marriednotdead · 29/09/2010 16:03

Tayo is often used as a shortened version of an African (nigerian?) name e.g Eyitayo. Have only encountered females with this spelling though.
As for your reasons Biscuit

Flighttattendant · 29/09/2010 16:06

I like Pato as well.

minipie · 29/09/2010 16:13

Brilliant Grin

OP, please tell us the letters it needs to fit with, and we'll make some other suggestions?

JulesJules · 29/09/2010 16:13

How about Tomato, you could call him Tom for short.

The tattooist could do a little tomato as well, it's nice and easy to draw

PatriciaHolm · 29/09/2010 16:13

According to http://babynamesworld.parentsconnect.com/meaning_ofTayo.html this it means "town in new mexico"!

Do the other DCs have normal names - if they do it'll be stinkingly obvious what you've done!

StayingDavidTennantsGirl · 29/09/2010 16:15

As a rule I don't like made-up names, and this one seems made up to me.

You need to think about how your ds is going to feel if he has to explain to people how his parents came to choose his name.

Baio (after the actor Scott Baio) would fit, I think. Or you could put an R and an L together in the middle, and have Arlo or Marlon.

Amo is latin for 'I love'.

What about Jason?

Of course, if the letters you need to fit in with are T and Y, none of my suggestions help.
