If you've currently got a project going on during this lockdown, can you post pics of it just for inspiration?! I crochet but I haven't done it in months. I want to start doing it again but I've no idea what? I'm fed up of doing blankets... I have attempted an amigarumi last year but it didn't go great. Blush

I finished this last week. It was something I had in my head for years but never got the chance to make it. I've used patterns for the flowers but the overall design is my own. I've just finished knitting the background to my summer wreath so will see how I get on with that

@murinae that is lovely! Where did you get the pattern?

Murinae · 17/05/2020 21:47

@runningtogetskinny if you join the Facebook group coastal crotchet cal then it’s at the top under files. The videos are all on youtube

runningtogetskinny · 17/05/2020 22:06

@Murinae thanks, I think that'll be my next project when I finish the jumper I'm knitting

Murinae · 17/05/2020 22:16

@runningtogetskinny It’s good fun learning all the Stiches. I’m just watching the video for the basket weave stitch.

Finally had the time to put the quilt backing on this blanket I knitted. I’m also making some amigurumi as part of a gift for a grad who is missing all his celebrations this year. Adopting a grad is a local campaign here at the moment.

I LOVE the blanket with the quilt backing. What a fantastic idea @moose

So many amazing projects. I'm loving the patchwork style knitted blankets. I'm doing one at the moment but the colours are too wintery to suit my mood, and the intarsia is doing my head in! It means that I'm constantly counting and can't relax (constantly in a tangle too!!)

My cardigan is constantly in a tangled mess, especially when in 3 colours. Nearly finished 2nd sleeve

MaMaLa321 · 03/06/2020 09:52

I'm very excited, because my Eastern Jewels blanket kit arrived recently.

...continuing from my previous post.
I've been waiting for ages for it, as someone posted up an image of it on youtube, and demand went viral. But I'm really enjoying making it. It's tricky, but not too tricky. Sometimes I get stuck, and find that, if I put it down and walk away from it for a bit, when I come back, I've sorted it.
Also, I've not crocheted in wool before, just cotton, and it's a lot nicer to work with IMO.

bruffin · 03/06/2020 10:28

i find that as well MaMaLa321
Because i was having to increase regularly i was never quite sure where in the pattern to start the next row.

Had a bad evening yesterday. Started on body of cardigan which was cast on 216 stitches and did one row, as im doing it on circular needle because of the length , got half way through next row and realised i was going from wrong end and using the tail, and also lost the rythm of my 2knit 2 pearl rib. Think i may have to start again, its really black wooll and really hard to see what type of stitch they are

Rollerbird · 03/06/2020 11:09

I am 'stuck' and avoiding my knitting.
I started a baby cardigan and have got a mistake I'm not sure how I made. I'm going to have to do a test practice of the pattern (is only in one area) and then start again

Rollerbird · 06/06/2020 23:44

Well I've got my pattern as good as I can.(it's a heart - I hope you can tell!)
Happy with my progress on the baby cardigan

it looks cute Rollerbird
Ive managed to finish the rib of the body, now need to be brave enough to start the main bit. should be simpler than the sleeve as there is no increasing or decreasing until you get to the arm wholes

FurryCat1682 · 07/06/2020 12:08

I’m working my way through a great book!

A lot of (very unseasonal!) lockdown knitting, for Gdcs and their school fairs in late Nov, assuming they’ll still be having them.
2 wreaths so far and half way through 2nd Big Fat FC.

Little mini Ted is supposed to go in Father Christmas’s sack, but not sure I can part with him now - might have to make another!

Just finished crocheting Sophie's Universe in one colour.

Deciding whether to do the Rozetta next or try one of Helen Shrimptons designs. Can't decide!

bruffin it took about 6 weeks. Crocheting every night. Lockdown definitely helped! Not much else to do...
