JM
I love the challenges but I've already got orders of over 70 cards already with the prospect of dozens more.
I don't want to be a party pooper but I will have to bow out I'm realy sorry.
I'll be at it every night and weekends if it anything like last year.

Carolinett · 27/09/2005 19:13

JM
Forgot to say
I posted a letter to you 1st class today you should get it tomorrow

Whizzz · 27/09/2005 19:17

I don't mind joining in if everyone else is up for it - although the run up to Xmas is usually a bit mad !
(hopefully we will all be swamped with orders !!)

Dingle · 27/09/2005 19:28

I'd love to join in again. I will be making xmas cards, so the way I see it, they will all go in my xmas stock and be sold or used myself. Perhaps I won't be making my own on xmas eve this year!!!

KiwiB are you joining us to??

For the newbies this is what we do.

  1. Take a photograph of all the bits and pieces you have selected to make your card. Make sure you have enough of the materials used so you can send your challenge chum identical items.

  2. You make one card, photograph it and then you send everyhting that you used to make it to your "challenge chum". You send the card blank and envelope then all the other bits and pieces.

  3. Once your "challenge chum" has posted that they have received their goodies, you post the photograph of the bits and pieces that you sent onto the yahoo site.

  4. Someone else will be sending B&P's to you. When they arrive take a photograph of them before you start creating.(this is just incase the sender forgot to take a photo before they sent out the items!)

  5. When you receieve your goodies from your 'crafty pal' you make a card. If you receive less than 5 little bits you can add one other, if you receieve more than 5 elemnts you can leave one out.

  6. Once you have finished, you put a piccie of your card on yahoo and we can see the different things that people came up with using the same things.

  7. DO NOT post a piccie of your original card until your challenge chum has posted their card made with the B&P's that you have sent.

Once everyone has signed up by the 2nd October, you will receive an email on the 3rd October giving the name of the person you need to send your items to.

PLEASE make sure that they recieve their items by 12th October....that gives you just over a week to make your card and post out the B&P's.

All finished cards need to be posted onto the gallery by 24th October

(((((I thought it would be easier if we just had one card to make and send and one card to make with the B&P's we receive as everyone seems to be getting busy with getting ready for the christmas rush.....BUT if you want to make and send to two CC's and receive two lots of B&P's thats fine....its up to you...what do you want to do???))))

I'd prefer to do 2 but am happy to do 1.

Like Dingle I will add them to my stock. Is it definately a Christmas theme?

jayzmummy · 29/09/2005 11:18

It is a Christmas Theme Challenge.

We could make it a bit different though by saying that

  1. we have to include either peel offs or a stamped image. or
  2. ribbon or fibres need to be used. or
  3. felt or fabric on the card somewhere. or
  4. patterned paper or vellum to feature somewhere on the card.

What do you think?

OP posts:
MrsForgetMeNotFul · 29/09/2005 13:31

feling worried about the stamping...as i have NO STAMP PADS etc..and was trying to 'survive' without them till after christmas.....and though we all send each other 'what they need' in a 'kit'...i don't think stamps would be covered!!!!!

But if a 'peel off' would count as a substitute....i'd be ok with that....i also have some 'magic motifs' (glue-dots in a shape which look like embossed stamping when finished)

Dingle · 29/09/2005 13:38

Don't mind really. It was fun to do 2 cards last time, but if the group is larger, I can understand to only make 1 and keep it all as simple as possible! (I get confused easily you know!)

The options of materials doesn't really bother me either, don't have that many patterned papers, but I am sure I could improvise.
If we have a few newbies to cardmaking then I feel it best to work around them to a certain degree. Unless they really want to go out spending more money....eehh!

undercovermum · 29/09/2005 15:42

Defffffffffffinitely want to join.

kiwibelle · 29/09/2005 16:13

ooh Dingle... I WANT to go out and spend money - any excuse will do. And... I too am easily confused. I will watch this thread closely to make sure that I understand what I am meant to be doing.

I do have one question about making two cards (if we go for this option). I understand that you are going to use the same b&ps for each card but does that mean you make two identical versions or two cards using the same b&ps which don't look the same.

Gosh, I confuse myself really!

kiwibelle · 29/09/2005 16:15

yes JM... I'm in. I'll give it a go . If you are contacting us by email, do you need our personal email addys?

AuntyQuated · 29/09/2005 17:15

KB...you still only make one card using your bits and pieces but you will receiev 2 pasckages in the post from 2 different people and you then make 2 diffrent cards, on efrom each B&P receieved.
hth

jayzmummy · 29/09/2005 17:43

My addy is
