JM

i've just found the address document; you are about to discover how disorganised i am.
lol - you'll still have to ask for some details

coral · 30/09/2005 13:49

Can I join in for the challenge too? Not 100% sure as to exactly how it works. Do we have free choice over what to include or does ths choice have to contain specified items? Is it limited to 5 different things?

jayzmummy · 30/09/2005 13:52

Coral you are more than welcome to join in.
Details of how the swop works are just a few posts below.
You can send more than 5 elements if you want to but your CC might choose not to use them all or may replace them with other items.

ooooh! sounds scary! as ive got loads of new xmas B&Ps here....i understand the procedure and how long will we be doing this for? (as i look after my 12 months old baba) so time is quite restricted without getting disturbed!

once i make my own card, do i have to send out the identical colours to my "challenge chum"?

biglips · 30/09/2005 20:46

but ive got no stamps atm though!

jayzmummy · 30/09/2005 21:00

Dont worry about the stamps....that was just an idea that was suggested....basically all you need is enough time and materials to make your card then you send out the same pieces to whom ever your challenge chum will be.
Then you will receive a package of bits from someone else and you make a card with those bits.

So do you fancy joining us???

OP posts:
biglips · 30/09/2005 22:05

can you get more than one card at a time from the "challenge chum"(s)?

jayzmummy · 30/09/2005 22:18

It depends whether we do a double swop or a single. If we do a double then when you make your card you need to send out the pieces used to two challenge chums.
Then you will be sent two parcels og B&P's to make two cards with.

I think the general feel is that we will be doing two....we should have time before the big christmas rush starts

biglips · 30/09/2005 22:28

sorry!

undercovermum · 30/09/2005 22:53

Whoa, 2!!!! not sure if I can do that by 7 October!!

undercovermum · 30/09/2005 22:55

that was the general theme, that we have to do it by next week......?????????????????

undercovermum · 30/09/2005 22:58

JM says ....children please. Sorry but I don't think I can do 2 cards and mail the B&P by next week.I can do 1 - no probs

undercovermum · 30/09/2005 23:01

Have been to Wedding reception an am bit worse for wear, but have sent you the stuff I think. Beautiful wedding, ahhhhhhhhh, red roses cream bride etc

pootlepod · 30/09/2005 23:12

Don't panic!!!!!!

You need to do 1 card and then send the B & P's you used to make that out to either 1/2 people by the 12th October.

You then get some pieces in the post and have until the 24th October to make 2 cards with those bits. So there is plenty of time and chances are, as soon as you get your B & P's through the post you will be so excited that you set to right away!

A tip I have found useful is to do the B&P's as I make my original card, so if I cut out a bit of wire/card, I cut 2 more out there and then, and save brads, peel offs too. Make sure you have 3 of everything before you start!

Dont panic!!!!!

Pootle thank you for explaining it so well

You have between the 3rd October and the 12th October to make and send your B&P's to your challenge chum/s.

Your B&P's from your CC's will arrive and you have till the 24th October to make your cards with these pieces.

Think about it and let me know definately tomorrow

OP posts:
Dingle · 01/10/2005 12:01

Right -sorry- are we having a general xmas theme? Is there restrictions on what materials we use or is it completely open?

Got a busy day tomorrow, taking kiddies out to a play barn type thing and then we have my in-laws round for the rest of the day....don't suppose I'll get much chance for cardmaking tomorrow then!
I am trying to make up for it today, sat out in a gloriously sunny conservatory, humming frosty the snowman, ruldold...etc I have loads and loads of embellishments all over the place and I am trying to get some cards actually finished and packed away in my stock box.
