Is anyone ready yet for another challenge???

With Christmas around the corner maybe we could make that our theme???

right I have joined yahoo what next as I can't find anything to do with mumsnet from within.

UCM you need to apply to join the group and then your membership can be accepted.
Go to the yahoo home page and apply to join....you will then get an email back accepting your membership and once that has happened you can open up an album and post your creations for all to see

forgot to say its a good idea to get yourself a yahoo addy....undercovermum at yahoo dot co dot uk would be good, as most of us have one of these and it makes it easier for Mnetters to email you if they want to buy one of your cards.

The challenge will be

TWO CC's

and is a

CHRISTMAS THEME.

There are NO restrictions.

You can make your card using whatever you like.....just make sure you have enough materials to send the card, envelope and all the B&P's you have used to BOTH of your CC's.

So this means you will be sent an email tomorrow giving you the TWO names and addresses of your Challenge Chums.

You need to make your card and send out identical items that you used to BOTH of these CC's by 12th October.

You will then receive TWO parcels of goodies from two others and you need to make your cards with these B&P's by 24th October

and 3 trims etc

or is that 5 trims....

and when i get my B&P's...can i add whatever i want...as long as i use the 5 bits (or whatever has been agreed) that i am sent...???

The card is made using as many or as few items as you want.....but you should send at least five items. If you send more than 5 your CC's can exchange the items for something out of their own stash.

So for example you could send

three pieces of assorted coloured card, a piece of ribbon, an embellishment, a stamped image, 3 gems and a piece of wire.
This would total 10 items...

your CC may decide to use all of the items
or
they may choose to exchange two items for something else
or
they may reject 4 items and not replace them at all.

The idea really is to use just what you have been sent and to try and not reject or replace items if you can help it.

The card and envelope DO NOT count as being part of the five items.

Right I have put my B&p in brown envelopes ready for this challenge. Hope I have done this right but I am waiting for 2 addys tomorrow and will be sending them off. And I will get 2 lots of B&P in return to make my bits. Oh gosh this is sooooo exciting. Even though I am up really late.!!!!

Dont forget to take a picture of the B&P's you are sending. When your CC's have both posted that they have received them, you can upload the piccie into the Challenge album.

My comp is playing up a bit and Im just waiting for my little computer chappie to come and fix it....emails will go out this afternoon

Er I have put in the basic stuff I used but not every single bit I used. Is that ok. I have added 5 items other than the card.

Ummmm you are supposed to send the B&P's you used to make your card...so if you use 10 things to make your card you should send the same 10 items to your CC's.....the whole idea of the challenge is that we make cards using the same materials as our CC's and then compare how each CC used the materials differently.

Have you sent out your parcels already UCM???? i only emailed the addys this afternoon!!

No not yet but I added some bits to my card after I had made it. Not a prob. Will open them when I get in and add some more bits.
