Am I being unreasonable for getting upset that my husband keeps looking at porn?

Kerry, I don't think there is anything really to learn. It is very straightforward. To paraphrase Robert Jensen, there are only so many ways that people can rub their bodies together, but the emotions they can create from that are limitless.

MillyR · 01/03/2010 12:58

Lucy, it is fine to say you don't like a name!! I have said in the past that I didn't like the name PoseyParker. No vitriol was intended.

AnyFucker · 01/03/2010 13:01

kerry, it's natural

you do what feels nice < shrugs >

AnyFucker · 01/03/2010 13:03

lucy, there is a poster called SomeGuy

Malificence · 01/03/2010 13:05

Well teens normally know what feels nice from masturbation, then the first time you actually have sex, it's a physical urge more than anything. Full penetrative sex is unlikely to be your first sexual experience, at least it wasn't for me and DH, most young couples "fool around" a bit a few times 1st I imagine. I don't actually remember the first time we had full sex but I do remember our first sexual encounter, I was still 16 and he was 17.

You then have the fun of learning the mechanics and twiddly bits that make sex such fun. We're still learning even after 28 years, we didn't discover g-spot orgasms till 12 months ago!

If anyone is looking to porn for a sexual education, god help them.

birdofthenorth · 01/03/2010 13:06

OP, I don't think you're being unreasonable, but you might well find if you watch it together you quite enjoy it!

Malificence · 01/03/2010 13:07

GAH!!!!!!

AnyFucker · 01/03/2010 13:08

Good God, is anyone still adressing the OP ?

I can highly recommend the Lover's guide boxed set for educational purposes, I know DD and her BF watched it because all the discs were back in the wrong order when we'd been away. It shows sex how it should be, satisfying and emotionally fulfilling to both partners.

Some wise person bought us a book called Love and Sex as a wedding present way back in 1985, it covered lifelong sexuality and was very informative.

Kerry: Children yes children from the age of ten learn how to have sex through sex education...well I know my school taught us from the age of 10 (year 6).

As a parent you CAN teach your children what sex is...you DO NOT have to teach them how to do it ... humans have been breeding for how long????? How did the cave man learn how to mate??? Experimenting, watching animals, and seeing them birth newborn/eggs.

You can teach your child about 'how' to have sex when they are old enough (you think they are mature enough) by letting them watch the 'discovery channel'

When they start talking the birds and the bees talk, you explain to them, however you like, how you make babies. The rest is up to your child (hopefully when they reach of age) to make the decision when and how they will learn to have sex. All you have to do from that point on is teach them respect for both them and people around them and hopefully this will continue with a future relationship.

Of course this post is not aimed directly at you its to all those who think you learn how to have sex through watching porn

Porn only reinforces sexual characteristics that have been used by men from the very dark ages when they though women were less superior to them. This is not an image to prject to your daughter or son in my opinion.

I'm not trying to stir things, but what do people think of Coco De Mer and Agent Provocateur? If you look at their sites, especially coco de mer's, you 'll find titillating films that I find just as erotic as DH. The women are completely in control and its both beautiful and sensual.

AnyFucker · 01/03/2010 13:50

haven't seen 'em

is it loving, consensual sex and no nasty stuff ?

I have clicked on the link for the UK Coco De Mer site. The opening page is a large image of a woman in chains. She doesn't look in control.

I've been to the shop in London and there's nothing demeaning about it at all. Maybe its the hidden dominatrix in me

brightongirldownunder · 01/03/2010 13:57

Anita Roddick's daughter, Sam is behind it.

AnyFucker · 01/03/2010 13:58

had a quick glance just now as I had never heard of it

not for me

the home page has a naked woman in chains with a deer sat on her knee

wtf is that meant to symbolise...is it meant to be a turn-on?

the deer is very cute, but I see deer every weekend when I am out walking...and I can guarantee it never makes me horny
