Oh - as if you have never watched a commercial at a cinema and been completely blown away by it's beauty and wanted to freeze that moment forever ...well, that could be one of his ones. And you do what for a living as a means of proving your great creativity & originality?

McBitchy · 27/02/2010 21:20

that robert jensen article is painful to read

absinthe · 27/02/2010 21:26

But of course, since he watches a bit of porn, everything he says and does is tainted and ugly forevermore - people who do this are incapable of loving or appreciating or creating beauty - that was your point???

"My nephew is at the same school as the son of two well-known porn stars in Surrey"

The what? Are there as many as two well known porn stars in Surrey?

flashharriet · 27/02/2010 21:57

Off to read the whole thread but good article here

Malificence · 27/02/2010 21:59

Ahh, I understand perfectly now, my husband isn't a real red-blooded man because he doesn't get an automatic erection on watching a ridiculous and hideous parody of what sex should be.

That's as stupid as saying that women who dislike porn are afraid of sex / sexually repressed - oh dear, am I?

AnyFucker · 27/02/2010 22:02

every time absinthe adds to this thread, she looks more and more of a fool

you really don't do yourself, or your ridiculous arguments, any favours, love

Shodan · 27/02/2010 22:17

Ahem.

There are no well-known porn stars in Surrey.

Firstly because everyone's too naice for any of that malarkey here.

And secondly, if there were, I would know about them.

Chellesgirl · 27/02/2010 23:35

dittany my DP was not brought up around 'sex' or 'porn' not even anything was said about relationships. He was taught from his mother and fathers relationship...He lost his V at 18, (first kissed a girl at 17) and went to an all boys school...by the time he turned 21 he was a PORN addict, from Page 3 models to dirty dvd's... I think this concludes what you were saying right???

Nethertheless, I have changed his way of thinking...I have realised that men who watch porn for thier own sexual gratification and dont think they are hurting anyone by doing it...are to be fair..immature and probably have a 'problem'... he thought watching porn was 'masculine' I think...the way the man would empower the woman...he never got to test out relationships properly, he never was loved by a girl so much that he felt the same way back ...until me He thought that being the dominator in the bedroom was the mans job 9hed never even recieved a BJ, but watched them on dvd's and thought they were awful'..until I went down on him now he thinks they are amazing and the porn is not needed...he lets me take control in the bedroom, he like me to dominate him..he like to dominate me but only at my discretion...i indeed am very happy with the results of taking all the porn away...I agree with the cled mindednedd someone said..unimaginative...yes he was, now hes not!!!!! I also wa sthe first girl hed ever gone down on...wahey and boy did I teach him something good!

mathanxiety · 28/02/2010 04:26

Absinthe, I thought you said your H wouldn't have had anything to do with you if not for the fact that you resembled his favourite Italian porn star? Did she only do still shots then?

MrsM, nothing to say except that for some reason it amuses me no end that you are a vegetarian.

I have a suspicion that many men watch porn in secret because they fully expect, and know they fully deserve, the disgust they would see in the eyes of their partners if they ever found out. I suspect we will never know how many men really watch porn because many are actually ashamed of doing it; I think that shame is entirely justified and a very deep-seated part of human nature, not some sort of artificial construct.

absinthe · 28/02/2010 10:21

Georgi /Shodan - OK, Ben Dover's son goes to their school in Oxshott.

Math - he has obviously watched it in the past - right now, he's not interested though - it is wonderful to know all that in such detail (bet you can't say the same).

I bet some of you sanctimonious foolish women will be sobbing on Relationships in a few years time, having discovered a garage full of porn mags

Georgimama · 28/02/2010 10:44

I'm not sanctimonious.

I'm not foolish.

We don't have a garage.

Nothing could induce me to start sobbing on "relationships", a topic which I keep hidden.

And what a lovely streak you have, wishing ill fortune on others. And seeing what you posted about your marriage on the "would you still marry them" thread, you'll be sobbing on there soon enough yourself, I would imagine. Never been with anyone but your husband, I understand? No wonder he's managed to do such a job on you.

expatinscotland · 28/02/2010 11:16

'I bet some of you sanctimonious foolish women will be sobbing on Relationships in a few years time, having discovered a garage full of porn mags '

LOL. Not a chance. Don't even have a garden, FWIW. Spend anything over a pound and it's hard to go unnoticed with our finances.

But keep on with the insults, and of course, apply it to women.

That's just what the porn industry engenders and it speaks volumes about you and porn users in general.

What's foolish is assuming all men need to rely on an industry that categorises their wives, mothers, sisters and daughters as whores and themselves as so stupid and low just to get off.

Chellesgirl · 28/02/2010 11:42

a round of applause for expatin please ladies....hit the nail on the head !!!!!!!

Malificence · 28/02/2010 12:16

OMG, Absinthe is right! Our garage is full of magazines , Star trek ones.

Silly, silly cow.

Chellesgirl · 28/02/2010 12:20

why has nearly everyone got garages full of magazines????? I thought magazines were for cars and tools??? my DP used to 'hide' his stash in a carrier bag in the wardrobe (a wardrobe that we shred ) he also used to put the dvd's in his boxer draw...cause I never used to wash and put away his boxers and socks for him???? hahaha silly man.

2old4thislark · 28/02/2010 13:03

I DID find my Dad's mags in the garage when I was a kid....my brother did and nicked them. Dad obviously couldn't say a thing........Very funny and TBH content pretty tame compared to what's out there now......Oh maybe that's why I think all men look at porn! Penny has just dropped

absinthe oooohhhh I know the school you mean! I'm presuming the private one, not the state one? Wow, bet that goes down well with all the 'city dads' and 'posh surrey mums'!

amber1979 · 28/02/2010 13:04

I'm just loving the assumption on this thread, that people still pay for pron
