I'm genuinly interested in why you object to homosexuality, and everytime I ask on the other thread it gets lost in the general hubbub.

So - name change if you want, but please tell me what your objections are?

If it's because it's not natural or against biology, please expand your answer to include why you care about that.

If you were sacked, daftpunk, you could also claim sexual discrimination, on account of you owning a fanjo. Someone who is sacked unfairly is entitled to argue their case, whether they are gay, straight, have one leg, are deaf etc. etc. You are not allowed to sack someone because 'they ain't natural'.

I think this love-in, particularly of male homosexuals, is quite ironic. Look at the way women are presented by many gay men it's not very complimentary. A lot of transvestites are gay and their 'omage to us is pretty depressing. Likewise fashion designers while saying they love women it seems they actually hate them, particularly anyone who eats food and looks real, given the clothes they think we should wear. It really pisses me off.

As I said earlier, how can homosexuality not be natural when it happens in nature? It's not something we fabricated ourselves like the internet or IVF or nylon! It's a state of being that's existed for as long as we have. Nobody chooses to be gay, they just are. So in what way could that be described as unnatural?

And why is it that those who use the 'unnatural' argument against gayness only seem to have that argument apply to sexual practices? If gayness is wrong because it's unnatural (and let's not forget that it isn't!!) then why the hell are you using the internet? The internet really is unnatural so why is that OK?

daftpunk - you and a Lesbian have exactly the same rights. Neither of you can be discriminated against on the grounds of your sexuality. If you feel you are being discrimitated against as a straight woman you can claim constructive dismissal the same as anyone.

It is more often the case that it is gay people taking this action though, as more people gay than straight people are discriminated against on the grounds of suxuality.

But this does not seem to me to be an argument for or against homosexuality - this is an argument about employment rights. And I don't think that from your other posts that you think that homosexuality is a legitimate reason to discrimiate against someone in the workplace anyway.

while i'm not homophobic one thing i have noticed about discussions like this is this; while in the past i would have considered myself to be a liberal i don't think i would claim to be one anymore. This is because liberals now seem to be the most right-wing thinking people going because they seem to insist that everyone agrees with them were as in the past i used to understand liberalism as being about everyone being entitled to their own views and beliefs as long as they didn't inflict them on others.
so if someone is racist or homophopbic or sexist they are allowed to hold those views in private as long as they don't try to inflict them on someone else or breaking any laws.We for our part should are then free to criticise these homophobic beliefs etc but it's the apparent insistence that everyone agrees with us that rankles me. So on a topic like this not only do liberals want to put forward their belief in homosexuality being normal or it's moral implications they also seem to insist on everyone else agreeing with them.
sorry it's a bit conviluted i know but it's something i've noticed about "liberal" stand-point in recent times.
for the record i do not think there are any moral implications in homosexuality and agree with with people who condemn homophobic view points,i do however believe that people are entitled to hold homophobic views.

exactly that was my point about our part being condemning and challenging such views. I've just noticed recently that those who hold liberal views seem to be of the opinion that everyone should agree with them where as recently certain more right wing view points seem to lean towards some people believing something but not forcing it on others but wanting to be left alone with their private views and opinions.
