AIBU to not understand thongs?

I hate them! I don't get how having a strip of material shoved up your arse is comfortable or attractive. They seem to make even the lingerie models look bad, which is quite an achievement, and they're so blimmin' obvious! I don't get why men find them sexy!

What's wrong with a nice lacy pair of French knickers?

I stopped wearing thongs when I read they could easily spread germs from your bottom to your, er, front bottom and cause thrush,etc. No idea if that's true but it put me right off!

I used to like thongs, used to actually find them comfy. But not anymore for some reason, I've also realised that nobody needs to see my bottom "framed" quite like that.

Also I knew a guy once who wore thongs, I've never been so horrified in my life, and funnily enough never ended up sleeping with him. (There were other reasons of course, but the thong was a factor)

They're UGLY....and seriously, unless you're a buff taned and toned 21 yr old, chances are your arse cheeks are ugly too - why why would you wear a thong and have them all wobbling all over the place????

I do wear thongs on occasion but only if I'm wearing tight fitting trousers or a slinky dress to avoid vpl. They aren't 'bedroom' wear for me.

Thongs are evil. They end up being chewed by your arse. Vile things.

But thongs don't really avoid VPL! Only going commando really does that, which is what I do when necessary.

So pleased I'm not the only woman in the world to hate the bloody things!

I can only imagine people who find them up their arse are wearing a couple of sizes too small!

I prefer a bigger pant myself now, more to cover the saggy lower baby belly pouch than anything, but never found thongs to actually be uncomfortable.

Well my bum looks like two humongous oranges in one, and when they poke over peoples jeans ewwww really unsighly. I go for comfort anytime, cant beat a nice pair of sporty calvin kleins or D&G's any day.

Given that my arse looks like two ferrets fighting in a sack, it's big pants all the way for me.

Perfectly comfortable and no VPL. Love them. Anyway, I mostly wear them NOT to be seen so who cares if my arse looks hideous in them. Only my dh ever sees them and he loves me anyway, bless him!

I find most of them really comfortable. I have a few pairs that dig in a bit- I think maybe the key is to make sure they're big enough. But a good pair is super-comfortable, no VPL, no French knickers flapping about and looking bad under tight clothes.
