I can't get into the old thread so I think we filled it up! I hope everyone finds the new one.

So nice, shiny new thread, nice shiny new AIBU.

AIBU to be jealous of my DH's correspondence with a stranger?

Pogle, I feel I ought to know yours but I'm not getting anywhere.

Maria, this isn't ringing bells at all now. Doh!

Another Me - she writes 11+ to upper teenage thriller type stuff, some social issues too. Personally, I prefer her to Jacqueline Wilson.

Need to have a rethink on yours, and haven't a clue about Pogle's yet.

Pogleswood · 23/05/2009 19:43

Nope,Snow - goodness knows where the bell ringing was coming from!I shall look for her in the library!

...I did catch them - but I only caught the train at the last moment..

MoominMymbleandMy · 23/05/2009 22:11

Pogle, were you quick, and were you neat, and were you nimble on your feet?

...Ah, we've found a thing called a boat, and our clever friend has worked out how to put wheels on it for when we're on land. But I don't think our other friend is that keen on the pulling bit...

OP posts:
MoominMymbleandMy · 23/05/2009 23:55

...You see the problem is our clever friend doesn't know what he is. We've never seen another one and we did think he was some sort of mistake until we saw the poster...

Night all!

OP posts:
Pogleswood · 24/05/2009 09:07

Of course,Moomin! I've now constucted an entire storyline for yours from your brilliant clues and still have no idea...will ponder some more....

MoominMymbleandMy · 24/05/2009 10:17

Good morning all!

It is a great story Pogle. One of the cleverest and most entertaining children's books written post-war, I think.

...So our friend thinks he might find some relations at this Zoo place because the one on the poster was just like him...

And, as light relief, AIBU to think this vessel unseaworthy? It is full of holes!

OP posts:
Pogleswood · 24/05/2009 12:22

Well,if you must choose a sieve.....!

Pogleswood · 24/05/2009 12:32

Meanwhile,AIBU to leave my husband and little daughter to live with my lover?

MoominMymbleandMy · 24/05/2009 14:01

Ah, Pogle, we don't care a button, we don't care a fig, in a sieve we'll go to sea! Even if it is a bit leaky.

Are you on your way to Japan, perhaps?

...What our friend and the creature on the poster look most like is People! Only they're smaller, and hairier, and have tails...

OP posts:
SnowWoman · 24/05/2009 14:39

Afternoon all - hope you are having a good weekend.

Are you voyaging on the QV66 Moomin? If not, it's back to the drawing board....

SnowWoman · 24/05/2009 14:41

AIBU to expect my father to take me with him to France? I don't want to stay at my Aunt's house.

Pogleswood · 24/05/2009 14:53

No,not Japan- I would say the Near East...

Keep going with the clues, Moomin, (or you could just scan the entire book into your computer and post it...)

MoominMymbleandMy · 24/05/2009 15:03

Well done Snow, and thank you!! I was just about to abandon it. And then what would happen to poor Stanley.
Is your father's trip to France prompted by finding himself on the losing side?

Pogle, are you treading where angels fear to?

OP posts:
SnowWoman · 24/05/2009 16:18

I believe so - I understand that he will return when the situation improves, but I know very little of politics.

MoominMymbleandMy · 24/05/2009 16:33

Or anything else, Snow. I think you'll find life at Mantlemass is such an eye-opener you'll never want to leave!

OP posts:
MoominMymbleandMy · 24/05/2009 16:36

AIBU to worry about a family living near me? I think the mother may be leaving them home alone at night.

OP posts:
SnowWoman · 24/05/2009 22:13

Whoood that be 3 children then?

MoominMymbleandMy · 25/05/2009 00:44

Yes, poor things. I can see them sitting in a tree by themselves in the middle of the night!

Night all!

OP posts:
CJCregg · 25/05/2009 20:02

No, no ... the thread can't die!

AIBU to want to run around naked?

pollywobbledoodle · 25/05/2009 20:08

cj, not if you live in the jungle

pollywobbledoodle · 25/05/2009 20:09

AIBU to think i am the most gorgeous brown man ever made?

Pogleswood · 25/05/2009 22:34

Evening all! CJ ,let's hope it's not dying - what will we do with ourselves? Polly, how fast can you run?
In case anyone cares about my elopement,it has caused a lot of trouble - my husband's brother is very angry....

CJCregg · 25/05/2009 22:36

No, Polly, I'm not in the jungle. Middle England!

MoominMymbleandMy · 25/05/2009 23:08

Evening all!

Pogle, are you not treading where angels fear to then? This is going to be like the Auntie who wasn't Augusta...

Polly, are you edible?

CJ, is that you really want to run around naked or that unforseen circumstances force you to do so?

AIBU to eat the rent?

OP posts:
Pogleswood · 25/05/2009 23:19

No,I'm not treading where angels fear to..(the problem with the auntie who wasn't Augusta was that you and CJ knew what you were talking about and I was confused!)

It isn't easy being stunningly beautiful, you know,
(That's my AIBU by the way,not RL...)
