I can't get into the old thread so I think we filled it up! I hope everyone finds the new one.

So nice, shiny new thread, nice shiny new AIBU.

AIBU to be jealous of my DH's correspondence with a stranger?

Pogle, I feel I ought to know yours but I'm not getting anywhere.

Maria, this isn't ringing bells at all now. Doh!

OP posts:
MoominMymbleandMy · 22/05/2009 17:44

...The father is my DH. The problem is that our other child was born less than nine months after our marriage, and the DH has always been suspicious. So I thought if I had another premature baby he might think it's just a medical problem and be nicer to the DS...

Do you live in Cornwall? I think you are Elizabeth (?) married to George, who has a bit of a temper it's fair to say.

AIBU to want a proper job and a bit of respect?

MoominMymbleandMy · 22/05/2009 18:19

That was really fast, Snow! Yes, I am Elizabeth Warleggan, formerly Poldark, formerly Chynowyth, and not long for this world.

A bit more help on your one, please?

OP posts:
SnowWoman · 22/05/2009 18:30

Thank you Moomin, I seem to have got my brain into gear today. Probably because it's half term, the sun is shining, and the dcs are playing out

Well, I know I'm only young and helping out on the farm, I just feel overlooked all the time. Doesn't help that I'm an orphan as well.

MoominMymbleandMy · 22/05/2009 18:40

Hmmm, are you, by any chance, a pig?

OP posts:
SnowWoman · 22/05/2009 18:43

No, but my current job title is Assistant Pig-Keeper.

MoominMymbleandMy · 22/05/2009 18:55

Oh, oh, oh! Are you dreaming of setting out on magical adventures with peculiar companions?

AIBU to worry about my DS? He was knocked down by a car after walking into the road with his eyes shut?

OP posts:
SnowWoman · 22/05/2009 19:05

Of course, doesn't everyone? I could do without the Gurgi-one I think!

Why don't you just get your DS a pet, or am I barking up the wrong tree here?

AIBU to not want to be Lady Macbeth in the school play? I'll never remember all the words

MoominMymbleandMy · 22/05/2009 20:03

Oh, brilliant, Snow! Yes, I think a puppy might do the trick.

I don't think your one is ringing any bells. Another clue, please?

AIBU to hesitate over accompanying my friend on a quest to discover his origins?

OP posts:
SnowWoman · 22/05/2009 20:10

It's really worrying me, the boy from the flat downstairs is playing Macbeth. It's causing a few problems as everyone else thinks he's really hot, and my understudy is being sooooo bitchy about it.

MoominMymbleandMy · 22/05/2009 20:23

[Grin] Nice to know I'm not the only one.

Hmmm, I fear I may be too old and the DD too young to have come across this one. But, how about another clue, anyway?

OP posts:
MoominMymbleandMy · 22/05/2009 20:31

Or even . Oops!

OP posts:
SnowWoman · 22/05/2009 20:32

Things are getting a bit freaky now, people keep telling me I've met them and said and done things that I haven't. It's as if there are two of me.

SnowWoman · 22/05/2009 20:35

By the way, were you adopted as a baby?

MoominMymbleandMy · 22/05/2009 20:52

Oh Snow! I am so stumped and I'm about to have the computer swiped from me.

But I'll go on pondering, and hope to sneak it back later.

...I don't remember being adopted. Actually, none of us remember things too well, apart from our friend who wants to go on the quest...

See you later, hopefully.

OP posts:
SnowWoman · 22/05/2009 21:07

Yours is ringing a bell somewhere in the back of my mind... See you later, I have to go and chase people to bed and do ironing.

In fact, there's a legend about seeing your double being a portent of death, but surely not in a high-rise flat in Glasgow.

Pogleswood · 22/05/2009 22:14

Evening! Both of these are ringing bells...pity it's nothing more...(actually Snow's is ringing bells with DD as well, and that is bizarre,as she doesn't read!)

AIBU to think that if poultry are going to travel by rail, they should be securely caged?

MoominMymbleandMy · 22/05/2009 23:10

Oh dear, I'm still stumped, on both of them now!

...We have to go to London, our friend says. I wonder where that is, and how are we going to get there...

Night all!

MoominMymbleandMy · 23/05/2009 10:39

Good morning all!

Still completely uninspired, so another clue please, Pogle?

I don't think I know Snow's at all so I'll hope someone cleverer comes along.

...Our friend, who is very clever, but far too cocky about it at times, has worked out in which direction London lies. But it is a long way...

OP posts:
SnowWoman · 23/05/2009 11:31

Morning All

Inspiration is failing to strike this morning, so will need to ponder a bit more.

Pogle, she needs to stay away from the dodgy lifts in the flats.

Pogleswood · 23/05/2009 11:48

Aaargh,still stuck!

Even if their cage has a catch and a bolt accidents can still happen....

MoominMymbleandMy · 23/05/2009 12:05

Me too, Pogle! Another clue (preferably a great big one) please?!

...The journey could take us quite a while because there's still an awful lot of water about...

OP posts:
SnowWoman · 23/05/2009 12:15

Sorry ladies. Has your DD ever read any Catherine MacPhail, Pogle? It's one of hers, possibly the creepiest...

Moomin, sounds like an exodus you've got there.

MoominMymbleandMy · 23/05/2009 12:36

Snow, I've not even heard of her!

Mine does have some things in common with a bible story.

...I wonder where all the People went. There used to be such a lot of them...
