I got it?

CJCregg · 17/04/2009 21:17

Does he live in Earthsea? (wild stab)

MoominMymbleandMy · 17/04/2009 21:18

Not an uncle but he has got something in common with cats. Off to look at 15.55.

salome64 · 17/04/2009 21:19

recap MrsF? Am awaiting Celebratory Indian (first takeway this year!, we are so credit crunch chic here!)

theyoungvisiter · 17/04/2009 21:19

CHRESTOMANCI Moomin

I work for a lovely woman, but I've got a real problem with her DH. He keeps coming on to me even though I'm engaged to be married. He used to be a real player, but promised he'd reform when he married his DW.

I told my DF what he's up to and he's furious! He's plotting all kinds of revenge. AIBU to go along with it?

MoominMymbleandMy · 17/04/2009 21:22

theyoungvisiter can finish off ALL the Easter eggs.

Stumped by 15.55 - could be too grown up for me.

CJCregg · 17/04/2009 21:22

Am eating burnt dinner, trying not to spill on laptop.

theyoungvisiter · 17/04/2009 21:22

PS Moomin, I didn't see your OP so not sure which book but am guessing it's Charmed Life?

Sorry, only just coming back to this since lunchtime and I am not wading through all the backlog

OP posts:
salome64 · 17/04/2009 21:24

I just wanted to live a little. I got married too young to a widower with small children. I just had to get away. The Big City is full of wild, groovy hep cats, but somehow I feel so lonely. My neighbour downstairs is nice to me though. SOmetimes I feel like my only friends are him and the cat. Despite my bubbly and glitzy lifestyle. What should I do?

CJCregg · 17/04/2009 21:24

TYV I trust you have arrived with renewed energy to give us a kick up the arse.

MoominMymbleandMy · 17/04/2009 21:24

And it was Charmed Life.

theyoungvisiter · 17/04/2009 21:25

I would go to breakfast somewhere Salome, perhaps a well-known local jewellers?

OP posts:
cory · 17/04/2009 21:25

Could you just go back to my 20:51 post and advise me how to act. There is a dark blur on the horizon, could be some sort of island. I feel a little apprehensive but surely with my new protector I should be just fine?

theyoungvisiter · 17/04/2009 21:26

No, CJC, unfortuantely I have returned a shell of my former self, a useless, hollowed-out gourd, sucked dry of life by my parasitic children.

So MN will be a nice break

OP posts:
salome64 · 17/04/2009 21:26

TYV, mwah!

MrsFlittersnoop · 17/04/2009 21:28

Indian Takeaway? Credit Crunch Chic? Blardy LUXURY madam!

My lot had hot dogs.

DH just pondered whether the other diehard contributers to this thread live like us, i.e. surrounded by mountains of book. He pointed out that we have dustballs "the size of small sheep" everywhere.

Now, how can I dust if it means moving the books eh? Just answer me that!

MoominMymbleandMy · 17/04/2009 21:28

Salome, I think you need some Breakfast at Tiffany's.
And don't dump the cat this time.

salome64 · 17/04/2009 21:30

I had a cull when we moved. thousand books went! I just had to face the fact I was never ever going to read some of that stuff again (especially the french stuff as cant read in French anymore).

I do it once every few years.

But I do have a one in one out policy for police procedurals and anything with pink on the cover.

jellycat · 17/04/2009 21:31

Did anyone put salome out of her misery wrt the bed with wheels and the monkey puzzle tree?

How about this (hope it hasn't already been done):

AIBU to want to spend my inheritance on building an ice-cream parlour in the middle of the outback?

salome64 · 17/04/2009 21:32

MrsF, the critical point is that is just for me! everyone else gets wholesome nourishment based on seasonal, well balanced food (think pasta and soup)

theyoungvisiter · 17/04/2009 21:33

oooo, I'm stumped Cory.

It's not a treasure island by any chance is it?

OP posts:
MoominMymbleandMy · 17/04/2009 21:33

Bah, I need to refuel. TYV is fresh out of the blocks.

I could squeeze in three more children if we got rid of the books.

salome64 · 17/04/2009 21:33

Sounds like a fab idea. After all you've been through, a knickerbocker glory and a nice aussie would be just what you deserve. God I loved that book!

Onlyaphase · 17/04/2009 21:33

Jellycat, YANBU provided you intend to marry a stockman who was crucified for you
