DH has messed with my phone

Small thing really, but it's given me the rage. For some reason, DH has taken it upon himself to rearrange all the Apps on my phone. He says to make them in alphabetic order, although only about half are now in alphabetic order.

Previously I knew where to find them all, for eg. Vinted was always on page 3, top left, Whatsapp and Messenger were always on page 2. I now can't find anything easily, and I know it's a first world problem, but I'm feeling enraged that he would mess with my stuff like this!

Do it to his phone. Let him see how bloody annoying it is. Then move all yours back where you want them.

Unfortunately, I have no idea how to change it back. It's actually driving me mad. Mad that I can't find anything, but also mad that he feels this is an ok thing to do. I use my phone for my self employed job too.

Change your passcode and never let him have it!
He has no need to access your phone like that.

Oh it's easy to rearrange where your apps are.
Just go to your Settings.

Change your pass code. Bloody cheek.

Long press and drag the icons back to where you want them. Then a screen lock - it's under 'Settings', then 'annoying husband', then 'LTB if he does anything like this again.'

I've tried but can't seem to do it. Now when I want to check my whatsapps (from customers) I can't even find the Icon.

Does he do other things that involve ignoring obvious boundaries?

What type of phone do you have?

iphone - hold your finger on a app, until they sort of wobble, and then you can either move them by sliding them around, or delete if no longer needed.

dropping them on top of each other sorts them into folders too, if you want to group them together.

Sorry but if you can’t even rearrange apps on your phone I can kind of see why your DH feels like you might need help.

That lets me move them around on the screen but not to another page.

We have strict rules about this in our house - you do not ever mess with someone else’s settings, no matter how much you think it would improve their life.

It's like going to someone's house and rearranging their bookcases!

That would totally piss me off like you. I know where things are even if I have to flip across the screen 4 pages

It's quite an old phone - an Iphone SE. I can move Apps around on the page, but they won't slide to another page. I knew where everything was before. I just can't fathom why he would do this, without asking me if I wanted it. I am really struggling now to find anything and I use this for my job!

Very sensible. I feel as though this rule came from a very dark time in your life (like the time DH helpfully re tuned the car radio for me in 2007 ).

So as he moved them, and you're pissed off about it, can't you just ask him to put them back where they were before?

Till you get it back to the way you want it, you don’t need to know where they are, from apps screen swipe either way then type the first couple le letters of the app.

Why does he think them being alphabetical is any sort of benefit or even normal??

He won't have a clue where they were before. Neither would I, I think I was just on auto-pilot or using muscle memory before.

I've got an SE. If you can't find an App, swipe downwards on the apps page and it should give you the option to search for one. As soon as you put the first letter or two in, suggestions will appear so it's very quick.
