The OBR are looking at fiscal headroom rn for the upcoming budget. The future PIP will be part of that.

Can I ask what parts of the welfare bill people think, can or should be cut? The standard allowance on UC/ and JSA/ESA is £95 a week unless you are under 25 then you get £75.65 a week. Where can that be cut? It is very low already and flipping unfair for under 25s.
Housing element? They are based on social housing rents in your area and don’t cover private rental prices.
disability premiums - the LCWRA element has been halved from April this year for new claimants ( aside from some conditions)
PIP? people claiming PIP need this extra money to help with transport/ other support due to their health conditions.
Child elements? Surely nobody would want children to go without.
pension credit? Leave pensioners without because they haven’t got enough NI stamps for full SP.
State pension? If that is a your only income once you retire it’s hardly the life of luxury is it?
So those who want welfare cuts, what are the suggestions regarding cuts?

So it's grown by billions under Tory rule.

This is going to go like the thread a few days ago where the only 'facts' they post are from The Telegraph, Times, Daily Fail, The Sun and various unhinged material from their X or YouTube algorithms. They see a headline or an article or picture and that's it - it's a fact.

We all know exactly which people certain posters on here are perpetually desperate to be ranting about, but they can't, because it's a moderated forum and they will get banned for racism and hate speech. Must be very frustrating for them.
