To say all pro-Palestinians should watch Fauda on Netflix?

Now it is a drama about how the Israeli security services deal with the conflict but it is apparently pretty accurate and is amazingly well produced and acted.

Season 5, which covers Oct 7th has just come out after a long delay.

I've had to take a break after episode 7 because it's so distressing but it still doesn't even come close to what happened that day.

I think it's gives a clearer idea as to the truth of what has been going on and it does try to give a perspective from both sides.

I think every pro-Palestinian should watch it.

I'd avoid the CITME threads. There are numerous deleted posts for antisemitism. It's hidden in a corner of mn for a reason. I used to read the threads but no point replying to the small number of repetitive posters banging on about how Israel....... etc with little accountability on their freedom fighters.

I think that for some blaming just Israel is there way. There is a factual, proven rise in antisemitism in the UK. There have been terror attacks resulting in deaths here too. Jewish people do need more protection at school and security due to antisemitism in the UK. Some people appear unable to separate the Israeli government from Jewish people in the UK.

Its been like that for a long time sadly. Anti Israel sentiment has just become a means of legitimising Jew hate. I'm in the UK and remember both attacks.

Shortly after the second one a video went viral on Instagram of a man beating up two Jewish people who were just minding thier own business. They tried to justify it by saying the victims were "Zionists" but there was absolutely no proof of that at all. It was just an unprovoked racist attack.

You're welcome. I hope you don't work for Allan's Snackbar.

Had to look that one up, very funny ;)

You were literally assuming me and @FreshJalapenos were Israeli agents a while back. I'm still waiting for by pay from the "Hasbara cartel". Jewish isn't a nationality btw.

I was not and I am aware, I guess that's me told :)

I'm simply detailing the realities of combat scenarios and how easy it is for tragedies to happen in those contexts.

Hypothetical and inapplicable scenarios.

I am gently suggesting you at least read about an incident before posting commentary which only highlights your complete ignorance of what happened at the Cohen house in Kibbutz Be’eri.

You are also unnecessarily adversarial. After all, I am a Jewish woman and I’m not one of whoever you think you need to teach a lesson to.

What precisely would you consider October 7th except a combat scenario/a terrorist attack?

Of course we knew this over a year ago.

Many posters on the CITME board screaming about Israel deliberately starving babies IIRC.

COGAT have a trail of what's gone into Gaza. They often posted it on X. I also remember journalists filming tonnes of aid on the Gaza side that wasn't picked up so it was rotting in the sun, that included baby milk and food. Never made it into MSM funnily enough.

Also that UN imbecile insisted 14,000 babies would die within 48 hours but we now know there was no famine at all in Gaza and Hamas was hiding baby food anyway.

This whole conflict has been a full on blood libel against the Jews.

That was such a wild claim.
The figure was based on a prediction that there might be 14,000 cases of severe malnutrition over a full year, not 14,000 deaths in 48 hours.
Of course the claim was widely amplified by media, before being clarified by the UN.

What precisely would you consider October 7th except a combat scenario/a terrorist attack?

October 7th was a large scale terrorist attack leaving just over 1,200 victims dead and over 200 hostages taken into Gaza.

I do not see the point of your question other than to imply I think any different.
Perhaps it is to obscure the fact you speculated that it was a 6 man tank division in combat with 40 Hamas terrorists. And that the decision to fire on the house was ‘in the heat of combat in a confined space’ both of which are not at all what happened in real life.

I don’t know who you are to post lies about me and what I have posted.

My main point is that I will not watch Fauda because it is ethically and morally wrong to make money off the victims pain and suffering so soon, especially when many families have no body to bury and are still grieving. It is just too soon.

I realise this isn’t the case for many who haven’t been so deeply affected by Oct 7th and they enjoy watching Fauda in the comfort of their living rooms.
