AIBU to want to express support for women who were assaulted at a political conference?

To want to send out support to the two women visibly assaulted at a political conference.
I am concerned about the other protesters too and actually anyone who was hurt. But having to listen to jeering from the podium plus the crowd chanting in live TV at the same time must have been so traumatic and the publicity will die down and coverage move on but that can't be easy. Just want to send love and support.

Are security guards allowed to grab people round the neck, if indeed he is a security guard? Are they allowed to slam people against a wall?

I have just watched the Prescott punch and the guy is 20 years younger and really muscular, an egg with that force behind him no wonder Prescott reacted !

A reactive action is not the same as grabbing a woman constrained by security guards by the hair and hitting her with sticks.

How are the actions of the security indicative of the party. Equally, I asked you whether Rachel Reeves mocked them and then worse appear in a sky interview belittling the protestor with a "boo hoo" mockery. As I posted this afternoon even The Telegraph is warning us of the Reform party now, with the article headline, "The violence against anti-Reform protesters should worry us all". The article discusses how this is indicative of its decency with members that behave like that. Tbh it's not a good sign when the Torygraph is writing such pieces!

Men hitting women so blatantly, not even in self defence, just because a level of entitlement- outrageous and not something justified by any of the men I know, I thought Reform stood for 'protecting women and girls'.

The heckler has said he was removed by security and complained that the police used excessive force. Security guards are employed by the party the police are, well the police. So what does this have to do with reform party members beating a woman?

John Prescott was 63 at the time, even if he was a boxer in the past he was more than double the Farm worker's age and an old man (not that 63 is old) in comparison!

Prescott was assaulted by an egg being hurled at him at close range. Might not cause serious injury but still considered assault. Also a middle-aged man punching a strong fit looking younger man in retaliation (albeit a disproportionate retaliation!) isn’t the same as a man hitting a woman. Even if the man in this most recent case was older.

Also this is whataboutery of the highest order. It was ages ago that happened!😂 I was a baby when it did lol well not quite a baby, but in primary school I think.

He was a 29 year old Farmworker which you can tell by his forearms. JP was 63 and doesn't look in great shape - it doesn't look an even match at all!
