Because Brexit , for which Farage was a leading advocate, put a stop to the UK being able to send the boats back. Before Brexit there was a returns agreement in place.
So be careful if you think he actually has a clue what he is doing.

Farage and Reform are gaining popularity because neither of the two main parties have done anything about a variety of migration routes, legal and illegal, which bring in people who are a net cost to the UK.

Labour won't do enough because too many of their rank and file MPs are not prepared to say

• yes, we hear your distressing story but don't believe you and think you are actually an economic migrant, your asylum claim is rejected
• no, you can't bring your mum to live with you, she's too old to work, speaks no English, and will be a drain on the healthcare system.
• OK, we understand that when you came to work in this country there was a path to citizenship in place for people like you, but the rules have now changed, so sorry for your disappointment but the best we can now offer is an extension on your working visa.

The Tories have proved that they will say all the above right up to the point where big business whispers in their ear that they want a cheaper workforce, then it's a different story.

It’s so refreshing to see so many people on here who understand that Brexit and the boats are unrelated. I’ve seen so many of these threads where there’s just two or three people saying it, in between hoards of posters repeating the same old misinformation, so it’s nice to see that the timing of this post has caught more people who understand what the DA actually was.

Just pointing out the hypocrisy of PP bleating about accusing WC people of stupidity, then trying to belittle a WC person who disagrees with them for writing something incorrectly.
