AIBU Poor Dog walker had to witness

I was reading an article earlier about a dog walker on Two Tree Island near Leigh on Sea in Essex who apparently came across a man naked from the waist down who then bent over and stuck a carrott up his backside.

Putting aside the obvious jokes, I actually found it very disturbing. The poor woman must have been shocked, frightened and probably quite shaken up by it, i live close by and have done this walk many times.

As a woman who often walks my dog alone, sometimes in fairly quiet or remote areas, it made me think about how vulnerable dog walkers can feel. Most of us are just trying to enjoy some fresh air and exercise our dogs, not stumble across something like that.

It also got me wondering what other strange, unsettling or downright bizarre things people have come across while out walking their dogs.

What's the weirdest thing you've ever witnessed on a dog walk

I remember an episode of Vera where she said that dog walkers should be on the police service's pay roll.

They get a kick out of being seen or the fact they might be seen.

My Nan used to tell a story that when she was younger during the war she had a job that finished late at night and the exit was onto a dark back street. The girls had been plagued for months by a flasher in a grubby Mac. He was there one night she came out of work she took one look at his (small) dick then looked him straight in the eye and said if I was you I wouldn’t go flashing that tiny thing around and that if he ever darkened their door again she’d hit him with her handbag!! They never saw him again!!
She was a formidable woman even in her 90’s!!

Two tree island is such a well known dogging spot the council put a condom machine there a few years back, I wouldn't be walking a dog there!

DH found an abandoned puppy while walking the dog. Dog ran off found the puppy. She needed bottle fed. Never found the rest of the litter. Shes now 12 and a very good girl.
