Having to resist the temptation to throw my phone across the room every time I see Joe Wicks fucking grinning at me on SM pushing his new ‘menopause fitness plan’ with a fucking big grin on his face while he tells women to ‘just tell yourself you can do it!’ when he has no idea what it feels like having even a single period let alone the fucking menopause!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬

anyone else??!!

There are a lot of people out there making a lot of money from menopausal women.

user1471497170 · 01/09/2026 16:23

I agree. I don't feel it is a space for men.

Poppingby · 01/09/2026 16:25

I agree. But one never know if one's irritation is the irritating thing or just menopause making everything irritating. men should be more careful either way.

BatshitCrazyWoman · 01/09/2026 16:27

I find him irritating anyway, and now I find out he's doing this. Bloody man!

Rinoachicken · 01/09/2026 16:29

So glad it’s not just me!

Every day I tell myself I can "just do it"
Most days some of "it" just doesn't happen

purpleme12 · 01/09/2026 16:31

I like Joe Wicks, and his workouts
Not tried the menopause specific ones but I'd be willing to try because of the above
So no it doesn't annoy me

bunnypenny · 01/09/2026 16:32

Joe Wicks jumps on every moneymaking bandwagon. He’s a grifter.

Lottapianos · 01/09/2026 16:34

There's no end to the stuff they will slap a 'menopause' sticker on 🙄

Tea, chocolate, nightwear, shampoo, face cream and now bloody EXERCISE! I mean, exercise is one of the most brilliant things you can do in menopause but for the love of god 🤦🏻‍♂️

TomahawkSteak · 01/09/2026 16:34

I have done exactly one JW workout in my life and he had to stop halfway through to get his breath back.

Lucky chap- right place right time with his lockdown videos, fair play. But there are better trainers online and definitely better menopause-specialist trainers.

Joe Wicks irritates me full stop.

Flyingdolphins · 01/09/2026 17:27

YANBU for being irritated by him in general

Grumpyoldcat · 01/09/2026 17:28

Yes its a bit rich coming from a man.

Miss888 · 01/09/2026 17:56

Yes!!!!

Just fuck off Joe!!!

YorkshirePuddingsGreatestFan · 01/09/2026 17:59

I get where you're coming from and feel a bit irked that he thinks he knows what he's talking about but he's got no experience of what it's actually like.

My workplace started a menopause support group. Drop in for coffee and biscuits and chat to other women about the stuff you're going through. I went a few times and enjoyed it. Mainly just women having a bitch about it!

Then a man started coming. He claimed he wanted to learn about menopause to support his wife. He just sat there and observed and didn't contribute. We felt uncomfortable about him taking notes. It changed the whole dynamic of the group as the women didn't want to talk about personal medical symptoms and other stuff in front of him.

Women stopped going and it then got cancelled due to lack of interest.

He's a prat, isn't he? I was looking for wheelchair workouts on YouTube and came across one of him with Ade Adepitan. Now, I get that they're both doing the work out together for the viewers, but JW was doing them sitting in a wheelchair too! Just do them in a bloody chair you tit! It's a pity AA was too nice to say that to him! I've no issue with able-bodied people demonstrating seated workouts on YT etc. - I use them regularly myself - but FFS if you don't actually use a wheelchair then just sit in an ordinary chair or seat to do them. Thankfully most people aren't tits like JW and so did exactly this.

That is so inappropriate. I'm all for men being included in the conversation but there is a time and a place. A menopause support group where women may be sharing painful and personal symptoms should have been women only. Put on information sessions separately that are open to both men and women but FFS let women have their own private menopause space!

I’ve tried them, and with a pair of pretty heavy dumbbells, they’re actually good workouts - however, I do screen out when he starts to talking about emotions in the menopause shit!

Rinoachicken · 01/09/2026 19:23

That’s so gross about Joe Wicks doing ‘wheelchair cosplay’, and infuriating about the man coming to the menopause support group.

I love him and his 20 minute dumbbell work out. I've certainly noticed a difference after 4 weeks. I find see the problem.

dysongirl · 02/09/2026 18:03

I'm going through the menopause
The way im feeling he has a face id love to punch haha

BitOutOfPractice · 02/09/2026 18:05

Frankly I’m sick to the back teeth of men telling me how to handle my body, my hormones and my menopause.

As my gynaecologist said to me, no vagina, no opinion.

So yeah, Joe Wicks can do one.

Sartre · 02/09/2026 18:21

You mean Joe perfect dad Wicks? He’s never fed his kids McDonald’s, make him a national treasure immediately!
