Having to resist the temptation to throw my phone across the room every time I see Joe Wicks fucking grinning at me on SM pushing his new ‘menopause fitness plan’ with a fucking big grin on his face while he tells women to ‘just tell yourself you can do it!’ when he has no idea what it feels like having even a single period let alone the fucking menopause!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬

anyone else??!!

I love him and his 20 minute dumbbell work out. I've certainly noticed a difference after 4 weeks. I find see the problem.

I think I might check them out 🤔 I can handle his earnest floppy hairedness, if it's going to help me especially if they're free. There are way more irritants out there.

FannybygaslightinGovan · 02/09/2026 19:07

Aye, like a few fucking burpees is gonna make me feel like myself again. Fucking floppy haired prick!!

If you let me rip your annoying head clean off your annoying body that might make me feel better. Oh and a chocolate biscuit for afters 😊

😆 🤣 yes agree about the hair! I've done his 20 minute menopause strength training programme in line with taking Wegovy. I'm finding muscles coming through. I use 2 and 3 kg dumbells. He knows what he's talking about and isn't a pretentious prick. He does one session of 10 minutes then repeats the same reps straight after. Fully recommend if you want to see change and feel energised 😀

Single50something · 02/09/2026 19:25

Always found him quite irritating...

LuckyHazelFox · 02/09/2026 19:29

I don't see how a man who made the most of lockdown blues and inspired kids can be irritating, but each to their own. He's got off his literal arse and built a fitness empire. He doesn't pretend to know everything about menopause but has built programmes around common symptoms. Good for him.

thisfilmisboring123 · 02/09/2026 19:30

Ah I like him and love his workouts.
Sometimes I need to be told I can do it haha

Will add though, not currrently going through menopause so may change my mind!

Flicitytricity · 02/09/2026 19:33

He's a twat, and I've always thought that, even before this.

Tried to think of more to say, but that's it really

I have to disagree with this. Yes, he's good at getting people moving, which is a start I guess. But beyond that he doesn't really have a clue. There are a million other YouTube trainers who really know their stuff compared to Joe Wicks. He is essentially just a grifter.

Autumnallaround · 02/09/2026 19:55

He's brilliant. I did all of his workouts for several years before Covid. I've always rated his videos.

BUT. I agree that he is not entitled to do meno workouts. (what is the difference between those and normal workouts anyway). I would not be interested.

I'm menopausal and don't need special instructions on exercise.

CypressGrove · 02/09/2026 20:02

I hadn't seen them before this post but plan to give them a go now. Always liked his videos and I'm getting back into exercise after some injuries.

ColinOfficeTrolley · 02/09/2026 20:05

I can't bear the misogynistic little prick.

Idontcareboutthestateofmyhair · 02/09/2026 20:53

He can fuck off. Fucking men telling us what to do in menopause. Just fuck off to fucking fuckery you fucking patronising twats.

EppingIsFun · 02/09/2026 20:54

I didn't realise Joe Wicks was menopausal.

Thirteenblackcats · 02/09/2026 20:55

YANBU.

I detest that man.

Susuwataris · 02/09/2026 21:03

I don't think your title needed "me ioause fitness adverts" for me to agree.

But in general I detest men patronising women about getting fit. I had a personal trainer tell me and some other women that there was never an excuse to be out walking in the dark nights because he always did it and he'd always felt safe

I agree. He grew up in a council flat to a teen mum with mental health challenges and a dad who was in and out of prison on drug offences. The fact that he managed to break that pattern and create a hugely successful business and have what appears to be a successful marriage and family…is quite a feat. Major respect.

DundeeNewcastle · 02/09/2026 21:11

Annoying yes, but even more annoying, his menopause workouts are really good!

NeverDropYourMooncup · 02/09/2026 21:11

Just tell yourself you can do it?

Does he have a cool down section where you get out a mop and bucket, strip off, put the blood soaked gym gear into the washing machine, clean the copious amounts of blood off the floor, your shoes, the path to the washing machine and then repeat five minutes later because you've bled through again. And it'll be like this for about 7 weeks before just bleeding like a nosebleed for 6 days before the bloodbath starts again?

Switchnow · 02/09/2026 21:17

Joe Wicks is unbearable in the first place. Now he’s telling menopausal women about their bodies with what qualifications or knowledge at all? Insufferable.

LuckyHazelFox · 02/09/2026 21:23

ColinOfficeTrolley · 02/09/2026 20:05

How on earth is he misogynistic! So many people commentating are latching on to the fact he dares to help women lose menopausal weight. Jeez, it's the pitch forks out again.

WyrdHag · 02/09/2026 21:28

I'm irritated by Joe Wicks in general so...🤷🏼‍♀️

Gtfc · 02/09/2026 21:34

Does he have advice about flooding

That's my most noticeable challenge to exercise during peri

AbacusCat · 02/09/2026 21:38

I got tired of people going on about Joe Wicks in 2020, didn't realise he was still doing the rounds.

I never really see how one 'fitness plan' is different from another, there's only so many kinds of exercise you can do. Surely it's a case of finding exercise you enjoy or can tolerate and sticking with it.

MurphysColeslaw · 02/09/2026 21:41

@FannybygaslightinGovan
Your post made me laugh so much 😂
