To dump new BF over funny sex noises

I type this as I luxuriate in bed on a Saturday morning. The kids are at their dad's, I am at home, and my new man of a couple of months standing has recently left.
He is a lovely man. Well, no massive red flags at this stage anyway. But his sex noises give me the ick and it is honestly making me wonder whether I can carry it on!
I know that's shallow but he makes this kind of repeated "Ooooh yeah, Ooooh yeah, Ooooh yeah' thing at the end in exactly the same way each time, and now I know it's coming (if you know what I mean) I struggle not to laugh or want to clamp my legs shut and crawl into a hole.
I know it's not his fault and would be the worst reason I've ever broken up with anyone. And it would be a waste of an otherwise nice thing we have, but is it even possible to change? Is it like how you sound when you sneeze?!
This morning I almost said something, but what can I say?!

With the greatest respect- grow up. Here’s what matters; when you’re at your lowest and most vulnerable will he be there for you, support you with tenderness and patience? The ick is for silly school girls who haven’t experienced life, do better and get a grip.

Hmm... Not entirely feeling that you have the 'greatest respect' for me, but thanks for your input.

Look how someone sounds during sex is always weird/funny unless you are so into it that everything about them is attractive.
In a one night stand for example, you might not notice as you are probably too busy getting yourself off or you might but it becomes a funny story about a bad ONS in years to come

When I have sex with DH and it is me making him come, I almoat always find the noises he makes a turn on, and yet objectively the noises and vocalisions are probably funny really and maybe cringeworthy to someone else

I'd say that if you are coherent enough to be noticing someone's sounds when they come and finding them annoying or funny but not in a cute/ good way then you are just not that sexually attracted to them.

Maybe think about that

All the suggestions to tell him the noises he makes puts you off. Maybe that will work if he is secure enough to take it on board without getting upset. The noises we make during sex are when we are being vulnerable and open so being criticised for it is hard to take without being hurt. Even if he doesn't get too hurt and stops though I'd be willing to bet something else will be irritating you about him soon

I'm with this, I actually feel sorry for the guy.

Erm… no. Who wants to be turned off every time they have sex.

I agree.

I’m struggling to see what the issue is unless he’s being really loud or putting on a silly voice.

I personally would like this and be saying words of encouragement knowing that he was enjoying himself.

I’m really surprised by the responses but perhaps it’s simply because he’s a man.

I agree.

My DH pretty much does exactly what the OP describes her man is doing, and I love it.

I cannot get my head around ending an otherwise good relationship over this 🤯

Very surprised by all the responses too.

Maybe start laughing next time it happens and hopefully he’ll pick up upon the fact it’s killing the mood. Tell him what you’d like him to say, or ask him questions and tell him what’s turning you on

Are you for real? Can you imagine if men advised other men to do this to women? Laugh at them during sex? He’s actually allowed to be who he is without a childish emotionally immature woman judging him to a bunch of strangers. Your response is disgusting.!

As a man I've found this thread bizarre and enlightening in equal measure. Glad I clicked on it! A strong variety of opinions.

Ladies - do you generally scrutinise noises/what men are saying during sex? I personally don't scrutinise the noises my wife makes. On that note actually I don't think she says anything during sex, unless it's a suggestion or instruction such as changing position.

This thread has made me reflect that I too say 'oh yes' myself several times when I have sex, but I haven't reflected on that before; it's invariably as my pace quickens as I approach climax, but I wouldn't say it randomly at regular intervals during the encounter. I've always found it natural/have an urge to verbalise something as I get close. It's never occurred to me that my partner may potentially not like it.

Perhaps my wife has been keeping her critique to herself, that's a new can of worms to open!
