Following many recent threads about what is and is not permissible in a decent society, can we agree on a list of actions that should exclude you from accessing state services?

To start with:

Using a phone on loudspeaker anywhere outwith your own home.
Wearing PJs outwith your own home.
Playing music - inside or outside - so loudly it can be heard by neighbours.
Cycling on the pavements (cycling is my main mode of transport btw).
Wearing balaclavas outwith the high mountains.
Riding an illegal e-scooter or e-bike.
Having an off-lead dog in public that is not under your full control.
Dropping litter.
Wearing scrunch bum leggings and other revolting clothing in public.
Swearing in public.
Driving without using your indicators.
Men without a top on in public.
Working cash in hand, or paying cash in hand for work done while knowing or suspecting tax may not be accounted for by the service provider.

Some of the above are more tongue in cheek than others by all indicate no grace, style or manners and we need to remove them from our culture.

What are you adding to the list?

I’m not sure why my earlier post was deleted at all. I just replied to OP confirming that she did not call me out on anything, and I in fact called her out for her nasty opinions.

There has been no name calling on my deleted post, so I literally have no idea why it has been removed (will message MNHQ to find out)

Anyway, OP should consider having this thread deleted since it is in poor taste

Yes but I can’t imagine she went out in them intentionally. She was merely trying to access services to help with her immense trauma in an urgent way.

I ran outside screaming.

I wasn’t trying to access services.

to be clear.

that wasn’t even remotely in my head.

I can’t believe the nasty tone you’ve taken towards me but hey ho.

Saying ‘outwith’

Stop this nonsense. Outwith is a good Scottish word

I’ve no idea why I was deleted either. But it seems it’s ok for the op to mock me.

serves me right for wearing loungewear. You’ll be glad to know @Liggety I don’t wear anything with an elastic waist any more. Can you think why?

Taztoy · 19/08/2026 16:42

Oh I get it. Sorry mnhq. I’m not allowed to describe the reasons I ran outside in my disgusting horrible lounge wear. The top half anyway.

i should have known. I’m not allowed to talk about what he did to me. It makes people uncomfortable and I should know better.

This is how society once was, when people were brought up to respect themselves and those around them. Teachers had the authority to discipline unruly children, parents could properly discipline their children. Single parenthood was quite rare. Church attendance was much higher. We had an effective police force, rather than rainbow painted cars and taking the knee to some foreign druggie nobody had ever heard of. Far less of a drugs problem.
Proper punishment for crime.
And best of all.........NO SOCIAL MEDIA 😆

Single parenthood was rare because women were imprisoned, made to do hard, labour intensive work and had their babies removed from them. The bodies of a lot of those babies, left to die from neglect and experimentation, has since been found. Do you miss those days?
Explain respect in a society that legalised rape in marriage and women's bruised faces were ignored, especially by the Police.
