To ask for your most unhinged packing lists?

Trying to cover all bases.

I’m not talking the “oh yeah I whack a teabag in my baggage”, i’m talking the type of stuff most people would never dream of taking.

Well I once spent half my holiday hunting diy stores for one of those sponges to take marks off painted walls after cabin pressure made my foundation explode all over the walls and ceiling upon opening in the apartment 😅. I might take one of those as it saved my Airbnb deposit but wasn’t easy to find!
Otherwise I take a little dental filling after a memorable trip was ruined by a broken tooth and a distinct lack of emergency dentists.

I don't think it's unhinged exactly, but I take a little rechargeable light which can be set to motion sensor mode or used like a torch. It gets used as a reading light if the bedside lamp is broken or insufficient, and then it goes in the bathroom on motion sensor overnight, so if someone gets up for a wee there is no need to turn on the bathroom light (plus noisy fan) and wake up the other person.

Do you mean a bolster? We had those growing up. They served as an under pillow and had two separate pillows on top.

Don't you need an actual full-on plug for a CPAP machine, though? Maybe you can recharge them - I'm fortunate enough never to have needed one - but would you want to risk it running out of charge overnight?

Guilty of extension leads but also take my own pillow case as am allergic to washing liquids with MI in and loads do have it in.

I don’t get why people WOULDNT taken an extension lead. With so many things needing charging these days, it makes perfect sense.

I am now beginning to understand all those people dragging along suitcases the size of a small adult in to hotel receptions. You are all unhinged.

Does that include the cheese sandwich I bought in the airport on the way out and didn’t eat? And the little milk sachets Ive saved from the plane for my first cuppa when I get there? Surely all they do is take it off you?

Same. It's rare for anyone to admit this kind of thing on MN because everyone else takes a tiny rucksack for a month with one pair of spare pants.

Always take paracetamol... I had to wait in a huge pharmacy queue to be charged £7 for a packet in Croatia last year.
Last year I went on holiday during a rheumatoid arthritis flare and I was taking Max dose paracetamol. I badly miscalculated how many I needed and had to buy gold plated Spanish ones.

I have a good friend who takes her fully blown coffee machine in her suitcase whenever she goes away on holiday or business even flying!

Well that could cause issues depending on where you are going

Is go to the doctor instead about the OCD

Just UK this year

Currently on our last day of a UK break with DD 15 & her best mate- they mocked my first aid kit when we arrived but have availed themselves of the paracetamol, ibrofen gel, sports tape for random injuries and the spray-on plaster....I feel vindicated!
I always pack a USB extension cord, teabags and marmite. DD is Audhd and marmite is one of her 100% safe foods so comes everywhere with me!
When going abroad we always pack a day's worth of clothes inc swimwear in hand luggage after an unfortunate incident involving our cases arriving 4 days after we did on a break in the Greek islands!
Have just ordered a carbon monoxide detector so thats added for our next break x

Yes, they can take it off you and give you a ticking off. A fine would only be likely if you had large amounts l would think.

Completely silent, folds up small, lasts all night on a charge.

Me too, and I insist my daughter takes one too, her friends laugh but better be prepared than without
