Trying to cover all bases.

I’m not talking the “oh yeah I whack a teabag in my baggage”, i’m talking the type of stuff most people would never dream of taking.

I honestly did not know something like this existed! Thank you

They are actually very useful. I have a similar one ( well if DS doesn't lose it) that also has a 3 point plug socket on

This thread reminds me of the guy innocently taking tools through his hand luggage 😂 I remember watching this on TV at the time. This was obviously post 9/11

I was once coming home from Greece and the older couple infront (age relevant as she’d accumulated many expensive items that were extremely good quality that you can hardly get now) of me at the scanner had a full roll of hairdressing scissors and paraphernalia confiscated. She was so upset. Her husband had packed and hadn’t put them in the hold luggage as he’d forgotten the rules had change. I really felt for her and she did explain why she’d taken it all to me but I’ve forgotten why now.

Extension cable, I have a lot of things to charge, some important medical stuff (it’s the one with trip for the fuse I think it is so it’s as safe as possible and quite new, recently replaced), there’s never enough electrical points for my stuff.

oh and edited to add plastic fold up clothes hangers, especially if it’s more than a weeks holiday.

I have similar. Plus two of mine have interchangeable plug plates https://amzn.eu/d/0dt1XpnG One of them looks like this but has UK and Europe plug plates.

I take a fire blanket in my hand luggage on plane journeys to wrap around me and the DC in the event of a survivable impact crash where fire is likely to be the main cause of death.

There wouldn't be room for my husband also, but since he chooses to sit separately from us so he can relax during the flight unbothered by the kids, he can take his own chances, as far as I'm concerned.

if you dislike your husband this much why not divorce him? he seems like an absolutely useless parent

Another few:
. c. a quarter of a loo roll in a zip lock bag. The number of toilets without loo rolls, here and abroad is bad.
. paper napkins. Some countries’ paper napkins are tiny and not absorbent. Especially those that come in those metal dispensers on tables
