To find the Corporate Dad in the Med look kinda attractive?

You know the type - past the tiny kids era, so maybe 40 plus. Moans about choosing the holiday but once here's there he loves it.
wheels out a straw trilby that he thinks is beachy, crew clothing polo - collar popped , and patterned swim shorts (maybe featuring a lobster design)
slight paunch. Good legs.
Will be prevailed upon by his 12-year-old daughter to get an ill advised bracelet from the place they're in. Was given a leather one for 40th but can't remember where it went.
retires to the beach bar at 12 to check his work emails without the family seeing. Gets a beer as soon as is respectable

I love this guy. He's so predictable

Gosh about linkdin.
who knew?

Us saddo LinkedIn corporate slaves do😂
I will give you a taster. In my feed right now the top post is from a man who has written a very long post about the fact his wife has left him with the kids this weekend and he has realised he doesn’t know how to do pony tales, and has watched YouTube videos and is still struggling to do them. Despite him being very good at tech he is struggling with pony tales.
the second post is from a woman who is excited that she is closing her laptop for two weeks to spend time on the beach either her kids.
then we have the man who has a daughter and is explaining about allyship to women in the workplace because now he gets it.
and then we have the woman who is ranting about juggling work and kids in the summer holidays.
repeat that over and over again.. until you fill up a whole feed.. and you have LinkedIn 😂😂

This is giving me Coop from Your Friends and Neighbours vibes…I just couldn’t find a beach picture to share

YANBU OP!

This man is predictable, dependable, appropriate and charming.

😩

<Boak>

Incredibly unattractive.

Looks like the kind of man who you end up next to at a work event who's got a fact and a story for every fucking thing. Then he gets a bit too complimentary.

Bit rude.

FredBares · Today 12:01

I love the fact this guy never questions his gender or wishes people who he doesn’t agree with, dead. I find it so attractive he never steals and he wears his trouser belt in the middle of his torso. Yes, this kind of bloke is absolute gold.

😂😂

To whom?

The AI-generated man pictured? Or the man you end up stuck with at work who's a massive bore and then gets a bit fresh?

He might never question his gender but I suspect he'd put pronouns in his bio for a quiet life, and wouldn't see "the trans/womens rights issue" as anything to do with him.

Simonjt · Today 12:06

Paunch and a popped polo, he sounds more like an overweight teenager hanging around the local shopping precinct.

DeftGoldHedgehog · Today 12:08

DH is non-corporate, Civil Servant holiday dad. "Slight paunch" is generous but has very good legs, and surprisingly nice feet, when I remind him that you can do something about cracked heels anyway and he remembers he can wear something other than trainers or work shoes.

Not a patch on a brooding Celt who lurks in the shadows of a well-chosen establishment and will emerge at twilight to entertain and challenge you far into the night.
Whose eyes outblue and outgreen the sea.

AI man is rather nice.

The watch isn’t a proper. It’s some sort of fitness watch but not an Apple Watch because he watches a million YouTube tech videos. It’s a Garmin and he’s forever fiddling with the settings. He’s mostly happy sitting around but occasionally he decides they should all ‘do’ something and starts looking at local places they should go despite the kids being perfectly happy in the pool.

samlovesdilys · Today 12:12

You appear to have seen my husband!! Also good at carrying a beach bag he didn’t pack but assumes all he needs is in it!!!

BirdsEatEnormously · Today 12:12

Ghost-pale, occasionally kilted.

Yep, Factor 50 and burnt after spending an unusual amount of time out of the office.

DH should stick to twilight really.

Lol. The one who made me think about this just walked past the other way. He also has a sort of lobster coloured Havianq flip-flops. I think I need to add those to it.

I hear your Havianas but I feel more Tevas. The "grown" mans havianas. Just that little more security to transition smoothly from beach and pool side to boardwalk and marina with a little like hiking thrown in.

Also men of a 'certain' era (50 ish), less surfer sunnies and more aviators - trad Ray Bans in the Top Gun style. The next gen down would be the sport sunnies, wraparound style, Oakley brand.

Impeccable dentistry. Straight and white but not veener straight, a sign of the best use of NHS dentistry in the 80s and 90s when it was plentiful and available.

This thread is absolutely brilliant!
Such brilliant observations - I can visualise it so well- and the Padstow reference too - spot on!👌

Minasama · Today 12:15

This makes me laugh and reminds me of the time our EMEA CEO went to an upmarket resort with his wife and daughters and met the head of one of our business lines with his. This still makes me smile and I wonder if they avoided being seen in their swimming trunks and if the wives and daughters got on…

BirdsEatEnormously · Today 12:17

Corporate dad looks like the kind of man who unconsciously writes less-good references for 'females'. Jack has initiative. Jill is industrious.

I didn’t realise MNs royalty was a thing! What are the credentials?

I was MN Royalty once <goes into a reverie>
The criteria were:

Post a LOT
Everyone bows to your superior knowledge
If anyone has a go at you you are DEFENDED
You are in with the In Crowd, e.g. Cod, Enid, Twiglet

Those were the days! Hi Cod 😙

"What my son's graduation taught me about sales funnel coverage"

Say this to yourself out loud if you want to engage him in flirty banter every time a Holiday dad passes by.

Ha ha ha @JapanesePotWeed this is funny.
I detest those LinkedIn bros posting their "personal" stores and how it helped them grow sales by 1000000%
