It will take a moment to be visible I imagine, but there are over 30 candidates standing. Many not seriously, as we know. What a farce.

Vote for whoever you want to vote for, be that Binface or Farage or whoever you wish.

But at least try and think through the consequences of your vote, rather than an emotion based protest vote.

Here are some of Count Binface’s pledges:

• I will hold weekly constituency surgeries
• I will answer all letters and emails within three days
• For every day I spend overseas, I will spend ten in Clacton
• Any outside earnings will be donated to Clacton charities
• On a postcode lottery basis, I will help one family per week put their bins out

The first four are a reaction to what Nigel Farage has not been doing, I imagine.

This BBC webpage has a list of the 34 candidates with photos and a few lines about all but seven of them.

Of the 34 candidates, 4 are women.

I'm in Scotland and the SNP formed a coalition with Greens so don't get me started but as an example - the government just gave a significant amount of money for 'chestfeeding' charity that will encourage biological males to feed babies. The greens need to be kept out of any government.

I'm sorry, but can I be abundantly clear I'm not asking for help about who to vote for. I'm a relatively politically-savvy menopausal professional woman. I don't need to be patronised about this or any other election.

Firstly I am assuming that this is a genuine question.

But here are a few of the Green Party's policies:

Modern Monetary Theory: which isn't modern or monetary. Whilst other parties argue for tax increases and increased spending vs tax cuts and decreased spending, the Green Party has a different solution which is to simply print more money, which didn't work out too well in either Weimar Germany or Zimbabwe.

Drug legalisation of all recreational drugs.

Abolition of the Monarchy

Liberal asylum policies and open borders

Leaving NATO ( well there's something he's got in common with Trump).

My own view is that Polanski is a politician that wants to increase state control and nationalisation, hates capitalism, blames the millionaires and Jews and also is a vegetarian.

With a title like Count he should really have a seat in the House of Lords. Which he would need to renounce. But we don't really do Counts in this country so he must be okay. Or, and hear me out. Perhaps he's not really a Count??

I didn't even want to engage with that poster assuming she was Polanski's supporter and sadly, I see those as lost cases so thanks for answering on my behalf.
May I also say they want refugees to work in care homes even though they are unchanged and statistically A LOT more likely to commit crimes including sexual crimes. But hey ho, let's just put all the people living and working there at risk because it sounds good on paper.

I know someone who wants communism because he doesn't like that someone else earns more or has a bigger house, he's obsessed with it. He's pro Polanski

I'd greatly prefer a Labour majority government to continue and then it wouldn't need to be an issue.
However unless Reform is obliterated, or the Conservatives for that matter, we are looking at a stream of Labour headed coalitions stretching on into the future.
I think a Labour/Lib Dem partnership would be likely, but I can't see the Greens not being involved. And of course both Lib Dem and Greens would push for PR as part of their price, which may help the Greens further.

Their supporters are absolutely mental. Eg a man tried breaking into someone's house and the people managed to take a photo of him and posted it on the local Reddit. Some locals called the poster a creep, a weirdo and a racist for taking the photo because the intruder was black. Apparently you're not meant to report the crime unless it's against white people as otherwise you're racist.

I’d vote for him anyway as a protest. But with those pledges I’d vote for him on a positive basis. Top set of promises which will be very easy to hold to account

I honestly believe Count Binface/Jon Harvey would be a better constituency MP than NF (wouldn't be hard, admittedly) and on that basis supporting him isn't a wasted or joke vote.
