It s not hypocrisy.
It's being allowed to have an opinion, like any other resident of this country.
If you want to establish distinctions between who is worthy to speak out and who is not, then, as a direct stakeholder with lived experience, I actually think foreigners' opinions should matter more. Because if you think your opinion should matter more because you're uk-born, it's a bit rich for someone who wants to keep borders open and give everyone uk rights.
When even foreigners tell you, on top of the native population, that there is a migration problem, it means that there is a migration problem.
I am very grateful to have been allowed to settle in the UK on a personal level but on a national level, for the sake of this country, it s plain to see there are too many people doing the same and not all of them contribute and integrate, and that is becoming a massive issue.
And I wish for the UK government to do something about it. If the consequences reach me, I would not like it, I would find it unfair (I have UK citizenship, I have moved here before the big surge, etc.) but I am willing to take the risk because I love this country.
Do you?
You have no skin in the game, no direct experience, I may be in a contradictory situation but the hypocrisy is not on my side.
