Count Binface has a genuine chance against Nigel Farage!

Sounds crazy but…

None of the major parties are competing…

Farage won Clacton with 46% of the vote…

If the 54% united together to vote for Binface, we could have the most preposterous election outcome of all time!

I reckon this could get some genuine momentum… all the other parties would LOVE this result, and even if they didn’t actively campaign for it, would surely quietly be gunning for Binface to win.

I can only see the headline, but the Telegraph seems to be reporting that Kemi Badenoch is calling Binface "the People's Candidate".

I haven't seen it but according to DP, the Mail have given Farage a rough time this morning too.

Farage has just demonstrated the absolute contempt that labour, tories etc hold for the democratic process and for most people. They're ignoring the by election because they r afraid they'll lose. Nothing more.

If Farage is going to be a shoo-in for re-election, why is he bothering to resign? The investigations into his finances won't go away if he does manage to win.

All he hoped to achieve was to get his name and face back onto the front pages of the media in the hope that he could control the narrative around the £5m and the other "donations". It looks like his cunning plan might actually be about to backfire.

Look away if you object to naked bins. The man inside Count Binface has a long career in comedy and satire.

I wonder how much notice of this he gave his colleagues. They can't be very pleased having to go out and defend this!

Particularly if nobody has given them £5 million!

Happens a lot here.

Toohotforwork · Yesterday 13:32

Farage should be focusing on criticising Labour's current paedo early release scheme today rather than this circus. Count Binface wouldn't release the paedos early it seems.

I’m no Kemi fan girl but she is playing a blinder. All the traditional parties are having so much fun with this, hopefully it will make people realise they are human and Farage is just a giant knob.

Justveryveryangry · Yesterday 13:36

Paul2023 · Yesterday 12:48

But lest be honest Farage will still win a two way race.
If they really wanted to hurt Farage Bin Face would stand down so Farage has no one to fight against ?

Surely that would be more beneficial to Farages critics?

You’re deluded if you think it’s less damaging for Farage to face Count Binface, combining all those from left and right who hate him, than it would be for Farage to grandstand in an election on his own.

And given that he secured less than 50% of the vote in 2024, with this being before Rupert Lowe splintered off with Restore, it’s not an inevitability that Farage will win, absurd as that may seem.

He's in a bit of a delicate situation with that one, since so many of his party colleagues served in the administrations that bear a big part of the responsibility for the prison overcrowding shitshow. Easier for an actual political outsider to make that point.

Though on balance I tend to agree, probably still easier than trying not to look an utter twat having to fight a byelection against a unity, anti-you candidate with a bin on his head.

Yes, she's got her tactics just right on this one. And it matters more than Labour not standing, since the Tories were 2nd last time.

God Almighty I'm sick of this being the headlines at each news broadcast. I've just had a look through his Wiki page to update myself on some of the old stuff (plane crash in 2010 which I somehow seem to have blocked from memory). Farage is a Snake Oil Salesman - bluff, bluster and bllcks.

Al Murray stood against Farage in 2015. Conservative came 1st, Farage 2nd.

UK politics is becoming a farce and it's undermining democracy. We will soon have a new PM as a result of 7000 voters in Makerfield. Potentially have the leader of the highest polling party losing his seat to Count Binface. The LibDems whose entire policy seems to be "look how bad the other leaders are" whilst not explaining what they would do differently and the Greens who think printing money is a sound economic policy.

At this rate the 2029 election is becoming a make or break for democracy.

It's ok, you can be loud and proud of your reform vote! lol. Own it if you want to vote for a really really shit party.

Edited

Me vote Reform ? Absolutely I would if there was a GE right now . Because I want the end of a two party race.

There are so many arrogant MPs who I’d love to see have the smiles wiped off their faces if this happened!

I also know that Reform won’t be able to do half the things that say they can aswell but I’d still like a shake up of politics!

And you support their policies?

It is very risky to shake things up in an experimental way - do you want your employment rights removed, for example?

The risk is it might be Reform wiping the smile off your face unless you are confident about their policy agenda.

Farage is as bad as the others I won’t say otherwise ..
But the hypocrisy of the Conservatives and Labour.

The conservatives who ran the county into the ground for 14 years and then have the gall to say how much better they’ll be.

They are irrelevant.

Starmer- a man who let a millionaire by his wife clothes. What kind of man lets another man by his wife clothes for her ?

A man who appointed Mandelson into a top job , despite everyone else knowing what a slimeball Mandelson is.And a friend of a convicted paedophile .

Also one of the most hated PMs in history - apart from his one fan James O’Brian.

And our soon to be new PM Andy Burnham. What exactly did he give the old Makerfield MP to walk away from his seat ?

Please don’t tell me Josh Simons walked away from his MPs seat for nothing ?

See they are all as bad as each other- including Farage!

Unless you live in Clacton then YABVU. Why would you relish the citizens living there having someone in charge who has no policies and would bring chaos to the area, just.to appease your dislike of Farage?

I would argue that it’s a good thing to show the public/Clacton the consequences of voting for Farage/Reform before the next general election though.

What rights would they take away from me though ?

Even so wouldn’t everyone be in the same position, and they’d have to put it past the trade unions . Which they won’t allow.

If everyone went on strike Reform wouldn’t be able to do it.

I think 'all as bad as each other' is nonsense, it's a simplistic cop out.

Voters can use their brains to discern the differences between different issues.

Are you supportive of your employment rights being watered down? Do you prefer private healthcare over free NHS healthcare?
