I mean really, this is just pathetic. No one is believing that KC couldn’t find a spare bed for his son. AIBU to think that as the parent KC needs to get a grip and grow up instead of just fuelling the drama?

Buckingham Palace says Prince Harry will not stay at palace

Royal sources say the Duke of Sussex had not responded to the offer of accommodation at a Royal residence by the deadline last week.

I don't think so but who knows who is typing !
The point is people really really hate him and his family on here ,Mumsnet !

Just imagine the unstable nutters out there and mad royalists and whoever else who may seriously want to take a shot of him

Reading here how he triggers people ,it's not a massive stretch to imagine beyond the realms of mn some nutters may want to harm him and his family ?

He's also got the UK security services and the Met police reviewing real-time intelligence and making an assessment of risk.

If there is a credible threat, then he will get the appropriate security.

If there is a credible threat to his family, they will get the appropriate security.

He was offered extremely secure accommodation by his father, he simply had to accept the offer by a specific deadline.

It's all on Harry that he decided not to do that.

@CoffeeCantata maybe you're new here but mn is mostly anti harry and Megan.
There is a royals section full of it

I think most sensible, thinking people are anti-Harry and Meghan.

Correction - it's anti Harry and Meghan's behaviour. And a fair bit of mocking for some of the weird IG influencer stuff.

Worst, they'd get in the UK is some booing and laughing. The vast majority of the country are completely indifferent to the whole circus.

Any serious intelligence threats will be acted on by the appropriate authorities.

Now, I usually roll my eyes on here when people accuse pps of being unhinged.

But really, for once, this is unhinged.

To paraphrase a well-known theme song, it's understandable that Sussex fans might be feeling a bit flummoxed since it hasn't been their day, their week, their month or even their year.

He shouldn't! However, Charles was financially supporting them even after they left to live in California. I don't think they can manage on their own.

Manage what? Their lavish lifestyle?

SemiRetiredLoveGoddeess · Yesterday 19:42

Maybe Harry could get a last minute, reduced rate Premier Inn room for the night

Probably wasn't too happy about today's court ruling, verdict against him for the Daily Mail to bring down his debts and overdraft

Maybe counting on getting a good chunk of change in damages.

Or he could get in line and try a homeless shelter for the night

SpiritofaPanda · Yesterday 19:48

AmazingSummer · Yesterday 19:22

@HelenaWilson do people write with such bile about Zaras children ? Or any other royals family ?

Can you please quote or point me to a thread where bile has been spouted about Harry’s children?

And ....we have Charles version of events from his books and media interviews trashing Harry's mum his wife and his parents 😂

Are you talking about books and interviews from 30 years plus years ago that have absolutely nothing to do with the present situation?

I've seen no interviews or books where Charles has been slagging off Meghan abd Harry. Do you care to link them?

pinkypoo8 · Yesterday 19:54

Oh dear do try to catch on, it's really not as simple as that is it

Exactly. I don't know why people are so outraged that a a grown man who had waxed lyrical about wanting to be a private citizen was financially cut off by his father. A grown man with a £20 million inheritance who had just signed multiple media deals worth millions of dollars.

I'm not quite sure I have a violin small enough for him.

Recklessismymiddlename · Yesterday 20:02

If Harry was so bloody worried about his and his family’s safety and security, maybe he should stop issuing statements, to the press about their whereabouts and itinerary.

They could have all easily have come to the U.K., met his father and been back in the US and no one would have been any the wiser. But no. He wanted the headlines.

Also if he’s so concerned about security, maybe don’t boast about a taliban kill, in a book.

I'm genuinely absolutely howling at the thought that RAVEC who have unrestricted access to classified government and police and real time intelligence, sophisticated technology, surveillance technology and communications networks will somehow be making their decisions on whether someone needs armed police officers on posts on mumsnet from a "few mn nutters" 😂

I mean his son's antics have been vindictive, petulant and extremely damaging to the monarchy. There is some defence in that Meghan seems to have some kind of attention seeking borderline personality disorder but Harry was the one who shafted his own family.

I'm not being funny but if I were the King I'd give even my own son a wide berth after all that. How do they know its not going to be twisted into some kind of absurd drama? In fact t they xan almost guarantee thete will be some drama involving being snubbed, ignored or slighted. The Sussexes are narcisstic nightmare guests. Let them sort out their own lodgings.

Sheepsmellnice · Yesterday 20:34

More like Prince Harry is a crap son

Batcats · Yesterday 21:00

I also really don't get why people on here are so upset about the fact that "the cousins won't all get to meet and form bonds" and how sad it is that Harry's kids won't get to meet his family.

This is the same mumsnet where people can't stand their MIL and want to go no contact over the most minor issues. Yet somehow think William, Kate and Charles are all just going to welcome Harry with welcome arms and have a cosy family get together.

I mean if my brother or son had made a career and living out of writing books, making documentaries and selling on interviews on making degratory comments on me, making claims about me they knew I wouldn't be able to defend whether they were true or not and lied about me, I can't say I'd be in any rush to be seeing him or his kids.

I see posts and posts on here probably from the same posters who lose their absolute shit if an MIL dares discuss some minor family detail with a friend of hers or makes a one off comment on a person's parenting. But Harry running his mouth off over several media outlets about his family is seemingly NO PROBLEM AT ALL and its a complete mystery to these people as to why they aren't all hopping on the first jet to California or welcoming him with open arms.

As the saying goes, you shit in your own nest. If Harry had wanted his children to have close bonds with his family and now they don't, he only has himself to blame.

Yes KC is a crap dad
He could easily organise and pay for security for his son and grandchildren if he wanted too. His not short if public funded money.
I suspect the manipulative hand of Cowmilla in all of this as she hates that she's been outed as a marriage wrecker

It is not as simple as that. Security at Buckingham Palace is dictated by an executive committee and it takes time to put in place. Harry would have known that and is clearly trying to be as difficult as he can. His father is elderly and has cancer so one would think that his son would not want to cause him extra stress. He pays for his own security in America.
As for your comment about Camilla, it is complete nonsense.

baorhausfrau · Yesterday 21:44

eosmum · 06/07/2026 16:20

Well he's a shite dad in general, and nothing would keep me away from my meeting my grandchild, and how many times has he met Harry's two. No matter what I would bend over backwards to make it happen.

Those children have never met their maternal Granda. Why is Chuck any worse than Papa Markle?

The common issue here is the parents not permitting family contact.

Hulbg1 · Yesterday 21:47

Couldn't create the media circus his toxic wife wanted. She's disappeared out of the news cycle completely bad for the bank account.

Yes nobody is shouting about the other grandad are they.

Because dare I say he is not a king.

yes the children are entitled to titles but to be a princess and prince living in America in once case even born there growing up without any of the royal things. Madness.

Royal titles are everything to the Sussexes though! Good points about the other grandfather.
