I mean really, this is just pathetic. No one is believing that KC couldn’t find a spare bed for his son. AIBU to think that as the parent KC needs to get a grip and grow up instead of just fuelling the drama?

Come on, only someone with a half a brain cell would believe that Harry should bring his family to the UK without the proper protection

Noone gives a shit if he brings his family or not.

The people giving out death threats do

And the governments job is to find out about those things and if there is a current genuine threat he gets security.

Who’d of thought it 🤣🤣🤣🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Harry just wants it 24/7 regardless of threat level.

He shouldn't! However, Charles was financially supporting them even after they left to live in California. I don't think they can manage on their own.

And William also cannot survive alone and has the duchy of Cornwall and it's many assets

Yes, because 'death threats' known to the public are very credible!

Tableforjoan · Yesterday 19:18

Also maybe don’t brag about killing taliban if your then worried about safety tbh. Bit of a dick move really isn’t it. Wasn’t worried when he wrote that in his book.

Although that was likely on purpose again to argue for his IPP status.

You can't 'argue for IPP status'. You have to be an accredited diplomat. Harry doesn't qualify.

It’s what he seems to be after though. Going on these “tours”.

But without the protection that is offered to all Royals, working or not. Megan & the children are not safe in the UK.

What (official, tax payer funded) security is Harry not getting that is offered to all royals?

The King and Queen and the Waleses get full security.
Working royals get security when they are on official engagements.
Non working royals get no security.

Harry is a non working royal. So what security should he be getting exactly?

And why are Meghan and her children less safe than Zara and her children or Beatrice and Eugenie and their children, none of whom have officially provided security?

(I don't really expect an answer. It's hard to believe this is actually a genuine post, given how often the facts have been set out, and that the poster can't even spell Meghan's name correctly.)

Well, Harry's not the sharpest tool in the drawer but either you are an IPP or you're not. Harry isn't and never will be.

So you're saying Harry needs armed police escorts to protect against posters on this thread?

I don't think so but who knows who is typing !
The point is people really really hate him and his family on here ,Mumsnet !

Just imagine the unstable nutters out there and mad royalists and whoever else who may seriously want to take a shot of him

Reading here how he triggers people ,it's not a massive stretch to imagine beyond the realms of mn some nutters may want to harm him and his family ?

Harry has had all the privilege and none of the responsibility. I think that’s the issue.

He’s not very bright academically by all accounts and he seems to take against people and not talk to them for ages (apparently his mother was the same).

And Meghan is so much into female empowerment that she (as a relatively unknown actor outside of Suits fans) married a man that could bring her money and fame rather than earning both herself.

So why anyone would want him near them, I don’t know.

He was the poster boy for an entire Nations grief over his beloved mum!
That's a huge responsibility foisted on him ,non of it was his choosing ! Not being born royal into the most famous mistress situation since Anne bolyn !

You've got a vivid imagination. Nobody " really really hate him and his family on here". They just think he and his wife are attention seeking prats. Nobody has said anything bad against his kids. You made that up.

Luckily for Harry, RAVEC keep his security needs under continual review and will provide security as appropriate. If that's not good enough for him, he can stay at home. Like I say, nobody gives a shit one way or the other.

You need to go and read the threads that were on here when Catherine was ill. I believe there was some really disgusting stuff on Twatter but I removed myself from there when Musk took over so I can't corroborate it, but what was said about a sick woman on MN was unbelievable so yes other Royal families have had such bile written about them, and yes there are still some nasty things said about Catherine even now

He is and always will be royalty and 5th in line for the throne. He is not denying his father access to his grandchildren and if King Charles cared more about his family and grandchildren, he would have spoken up in public about the disgusting & disrespectful treatment his son & daughter in law received from the racist press & public. But no King Charles perfers the money & luxuries to the love of his family.

No one is stopping him from jumping on a plane to visit his grandchildren. But without the protection that is offered to all Royals, working or not. Megan & the children are not safe in the UK. Would you bring your family anywhere where they are receiving death threats & even the racist press compared his son to a monkey. Come on, only someone with a half a brain cell would believe that Harry should bring his family to the UK without the proper protection.

King Charles has nothing do with the security provided to Harry. Harry has his own security. The type of security Harry wants is state funded armed security which only the Met Office provide. And I don't really want a country where the Royal family can meddle in security decisions or where people with wealth can by the police for hire.

Harry has been told he has to give 28 days notice so his security can be reviewed. And if there is a risk present that warrants such high level security he will get it. Armed guards cannot just be on standby for when Harry decides to visit. The people that make these decisions have "more than half a brain cell". They have access to intelligence and data to help make these decisions. They dont want people getting shot so I think we can trust their decision more than the average Harry and Meghan fan.

And I'm pretty sure as King of England, there's plenty stopping him from just "hopping on a plane". His son has trashed and criticised his family across several mediums of media. It's no wonder his family are in absolute no rush to see him. Harry's absolutely made his bed.

People speak about the Royal family as we know them intimately. We have no idea what really goes on behind closed doors. We have Harry's version of events (of which there have already been several contradictions), there will be the RFs version of events which of course they arent going to speak about. And then in the middle of that, the truth probably.

AmazingSummer · Yesterday 19:29

@IcedPurple my imagination can't magic up some of the bile on here about him

Mention his name and it's litmus paper time even more so if someone doesn't jump on the bandwagon and agree he's terrible.

Bile! We've already had 'vitriol' a few posts up.Happy days are here again...

Where is the 'bile' regarding Harry's children? I haven't seen any!

I haven't even seen any 'bile' towards him - just well-deserved mockery and fair criticism.

Bile....jeez/

Tableforjoan · Yesterday 19:30

I don’t hate Harry I don’t know him to hate him.

I think he is acting like an idiot and making himself a fool.

He might be lovely behind closed doors and the other royals horrible. Or he might be a few sandwiches short of a picnic and they got fed up of covering up.

All we do know if that he didn’t want to leave leave he wanted a 50/50 as per their webpage at the time then when told NO! Suddenly they had to run away and escape and the nasty racist royal
family… but they wanted 50/50 before that.

Whatever. Armed guards aren't assigned on the basis of 'bile' on a discussion board.

Like I say, he's not wanted or needed here, so if security is not to his liking he can stay at home.

Now, I usually roll my eyes on here when people accuse pps of being unhinged.

But really, for once, this is unhinged.
